I do get it and I still don't see why the 'mental health issue' label should be hung around his neck. Where is the evidence ?. People have off days, millionaire footballers, zero hour contract workers and those without a pot to piss in. It doesn't always mean they are mentally ill.

It seems to be the go to thing these days, nothing can be put down to just an off day and everything has to have a reason (for want of a better word)

The problem that may arise is that those who really do need help can't get it soon enough because the system is overloaded.

I just had some focaccia with caramelised onions on it from M&S. I don't think I've ever had anything so disgusting in my life. It tasted as if someone had melted a bag of rhubarb & custard sweets over it.

I suppose what I'm trying to say is that England are the M&S focaccia with caramelised onions of international football.

FFS you really don't understand do you! I haven't hung any label around his neck, I'm not looking for evidence. My objection to your original post was, is and always will be that being rich doesn't mean you can't suffer from mental health issues.

    You posted this:

Maguire, depression ? on £100k a week ? Maguire who spent more then most people earn in a year on an afternoons bar bill in Greece ?
    And he's depressed ? GTF.

Substitute the name Maguire for any other name you like, it doesn't have to be him. Why does £100k/week mean you can't be depressed?

So this is different from those not in the know ? Is that ignorant too ? Another one who clearly misses the point (and the logic).

I've just noticed, but Urika, you seem to be claiming that all of these suggestions about Maguire have come based on solely this England game.

And if these claims of possible mental duress were all based off of just one performance, then your points would be a lot more valid.

But anyone who has watched at least a bit of PL football or MOTD would know that Maguire has been absolutely shocking all season so far for Man Utd. The fact he even got called up was a point of contention before these games were played.

This isn't a sudden thing. He's been struggling for ages, and now more people are seeing it because it's an England game, more people notice.

You could say exactly the same about all of Hull City's squad from January this year to the end of last season. Are you saying they were all possibly suffering from mental health issues ?
Maguire has lost a bit of form, perhaps he's getting found out, perhaps he isn't anything special at all and just a normal bloke ?
It doesn't have to mean he is mentally ill.
I don't know why I'm fighting his corner either because the minute he left Hull City I couldn't give a toss about him.

Substitute it for Grant McCann or Ehab Allam then and let's see the empathy pouring out if that were the case!!! The fact of the matter is no-one knows if Maguire has mental health issues or whether or not he's brooding about being flash Harry on holiday, buying everyone drinks, getting pissed and lashing out at the local filth? As for his form with Man Utd,well, the whole team must have it (depression) cos they're all playing ****!!

As for money against no money and the implications of that in general health terms(ie,access to private healthcare)....I'd rather have Maguires wage as opposed to mine(when I can get work due to a ****ing oppressed life at the hands of parliamentary decisions).

By all means follow the general trend of virtue signalling when the facts are laid bare and are irrefutable, but until it's actually established as a matter of fact ,then I see a footballer who can't cope with a meteoric rise to fame and regrets his actions on holiday!!!

You asked 2 questions when you'd already pre-judged it...What's the point of asking when you're doing the answering too?

No....you already stated that I was another that "clearly misses the point" (after the 2 questions that I no longer need to answer).

    Maguire had a shocker .
He was well out of position for both tackles .
The 1st was a yellow and the second was a bit harsh .
He is a good not great centre back !
Well overpriced at £80 million and bang our of form !
So how has this become a Mental health issue ?

Give some rationale to support your assertion that having lots of money nullifies certain aspects of mental illness. You supported UP's comments without asking the right questions.

Have you ever went to a Dr in the U.K suffering from depression? Do you know it takes approximately 4-6 months for a referral to a specialist in that field to come to fruition, that's if your referral isn't lost due to incompetence? Do you know that A & E in the U.K do not have specialists to deal with mental illness(you can of course asked to be sectioned, get your kids took off you and get locked up in an asylum).Of course this was pre-covid ,so things have changed a bit now.....The current options for people with mental issues are to self harm, take their own lives or if they're really fortunate, get a video call from their caring G.P who'll very carefully 'evaluate' the situation and prescribe some fluoxetine(sounds nicer than prozac)...

So my 'assertion' is,if you're earning £190k a week ,you can bypass all that wishy washy red tape stuff and see an expert immediately and on the way out of the door you can write a big fat cheque for services rendered or for a programme of services to be rendered.

I supported UP's comments because I couldn't have put it any better myself. You may have some underhand reason for not supporting his posts, given that just about every post you write includes a childish little snipe at him.Me,I'm not you!!

Not really. If you check out with a barrel to your head then your insurance is void.
