You might as well all call me ignorant and embarrassing as well because I agree with every single word!!! Typical knee jerk sweeping generalisation from those ' in the know' on this forum...

Who says Maguire has depression? Has he? And if so,he could've withdrawn from the squad and sought this help that some say he needs?I've seen depression in several of my family members and seen the ignorance from GP's....'IF' Harry Maguire does have depression then he has at his fingertips a network of help that none of us will ever experience.

    Just like Gary Speed.

Wealth is no respecter of depression and though none of us know if he's actually suffering mental health issues, he's self-evidently not himself at the moment.

Don't you know that depression is often a chemical imbalance?

His money will be no help there now will it.

I was heartbroken when Gary Speed took his own life and rumours at the time suggested he had suffered sexual abuse by a coach in his youth.....I've known people who have taken their own life.

Have you ever suffered from depression, visited a GP and been given Prozac for years on end? Money can buy expert help in this field, why is this being disputed?

And as you say, none of us know if Maguire has mental issues..

Who said he's got ****ing depression ?
He got pissed up in Greece, that's what lads his age do when abroad, we've all done it, and he made a couple of mistakes playing football, that's not depression, that's life.

Going through turmoil in the confines of your own home or the workplace is bad enough. Add in the very high profile position he is in, both club and country, may not compound his problems, then again, nor do they give him any respite from it. As you say, instead of this simmering on the back burner, have the hearing sooner rather than later and then move on.

All those who have posted their own experiences with mental health issues, depression, omitted one thing. It is not waking up and saying, my back aches, got a headache, or just generally, I feel a bit ****ty today. Only after the event maybe they, like me, thought, well well, so that's what it was and is.

Obviously this can't be true, as he's on £65k a week...

Hang on a minute. This is Troy Deeney himself admitting he has a problem. The medical experts posting on here have decided that Harry Maguire has problems because he had a stinker for England last night. Hardly a fair comparison.

No, you hang on. Some people are saying HM might have a problem related to mental health. Your original post said that was bollocks because he was on £100k a week. Go read your posts.

Might ? Might doesn't mean HAS. You've decided that for everyone. So get off your high horse.

I think you're confused. I've never said he has a problem. All I've said is having loads of money doesn't render one immune from mental health problems. I've decided nothing for anyone.

FFS. Harry Maguire got pissed up in Greece. Harry Maguire had a stinker playing for England. He's not the first young Englishman to get pissed up abroad and get into a bit of bother. He's not even the first England player to have a bit of a stinker.
That doesn't mean he has issues or mental health problems, it means he is human, just like everybody else, even me.
To even think he has is insulting to those who have genuine problems at the moment because of the other more important things happening in the real world right now ( see my original post)
People who are not millionaires on x-amount of thousands of pounds a week.

You just don't get it do you?

I don't know if HM has mental health issues or not, any more than you do.

I do know that having lots of money doesn't mean you are immune from mental health problems.

I also know that if HM, or any other rich person come to that, has mental health problems they are likely to be just as genuine as those experienced by less well-off people.

This constant belief that "wealth equals mentally fine" is ****ing nauseating.

I'm pretty safe and secure financially, have nothing to worry about whatsoever on that front and will likely be safe my whole life bar something horrendous, so I'm lucky.

But that doesn't mean I ain't ****ing depressed.

What's the expression you use ...chill out ?
Read other's posts before you jump to conclusions. Other's were speculating on a possible reason for his out of character recent football performances and concentration errors. You dismissed that speculation by categorically suggesting he couldn't have a medical condition because he is earning a lot of money. Logic is totally flawed.
Of course you have me on ignore, so won't see this post, unless someone else responds to it.

Whether Maguire has depression or not is for him and his GP/therapist to discuss, but if he did, being a millionaire wouldn't make his depression magically go away. The only difference between wealthy depressed people and poor depressed people is the access to mental health services. Some can afford to get private help; others have to deal with long waiting times from a NHS that is already pushed to breaking point.

If being rich was a cure for depression, Chester Bennington, Mac Miller, Robin Williams etc. would still be alive.
