They want him as competition for Greg Taylor, whom they nicked from Kilmarnock. When Sir Alex and Jim McLean were managing Aberdeen and Dundee Utd respectively they wouldn't sell a player to the Ugly Sisters. If a player wanted away he had to go elsewhere:grin:.

Charlton have made a six-figure bid for Boreham Wood winger Sorba Thomas. 21-year-old seen as one of the hottest properties in non-league. He came through West Ham’s academy, and has also been tracked by QPR and Barnsley #cafc

No interest in a loan for Albie Morgan - Cawley.

He may have to drop to non league according to Bowyer.

    Madness.

I think Albie Morgan is lacking as an all round midfielder. Good range of passing and a powerful shot. But the defensive side of his game is awful. I have watched him since he was a sixteen year old and his game hasn't changed. He should be learning from Lee Bowyer. I watched him live at The Valley against Doncaster and he let the Doncaster players run past him on a number of occasions. Lee Bowyer was going bananas.

On a serious note, I think it’s looking quite rosy all of a sudden. We desperately needed bodies through the door, and fair play to Gallen & the Great Dane, they are delivering. It will take a few games for the new players to bed in, but the team looks unrecognisable compared to the car crash v Lincoln / Doncaster. .

Maybe the fact that there's no interest in taking him on loan will be a wake-up call. Bowyer clearly sees his potential otherwise he wouldn't have got a 3-year contract. Maybe 30 years ago the defensive side wouldn't have mattered, I don't remember Hoddle making too many tackles, Spurs had other players whose job it was to win the ball.

Ronaldo works as hard in defence as attack <ok> The number of defensive headers he wins in his own box is silly.

Ronaldo also happens to be one of the best two players in the world. Most midfielders aren't box-to-box players like, say, Gallagher was last season. Parker was but Jensen wasn't. He could hardly tackle, but he always made himself available when we had the ball, which is something our midfielders aren't too good at. Sandgaard commented on this when he joined the commentary team. No wonder we keep going long, maybe with Maddison in the side this will improve.

Another astute call from @dick plumb

Little Oztumer joins Bristol Rovers on loan.

    Basically he’s not good enough.

Be interesting to see what position they play him. In the U-23's he was a hard-working box-to-box player, never saw him play RB.

He’s got no X factor to his game. Wish him all the best, but can’t see him coming back if we go up.

I'd say his main strength was his work rate and enthusiasm, but he doesn't seem to have that any more.
