It's just one thing after another really. Even if the Hancock story is not true, it's still out there. People, unfortunately believe headlines, like when the Sun printed 'EU to ban kettles' all over their front page! Its thrown in our faces, some can see through it and some just take it as gospel. The Hancock story is now out and it means that the trust and belief disintegrates further, regardless of truth.

Oi Watford keep it to the Coronavirus... I have. You should be honured posting on the experts thread. Save your politics for the other thread.

It’s hugely related to Coronavirus. It’s arguably the main reason we’re so monumentally ****ed. Cheers Serco.

Well you should never condemn someone until we have the full facts.
Interesting news on the BCG jab today... I remember I reacted quite badly when I had mine.

I’m not sure how this works as the NHS app is supposed to be anonymous and only hold your postcode district, places you have visited with QR code on it, and any test results - no names, email addresses, phone numbers - but according to the Sunday Times some pub and restaurant chains are monetising this by selling on data from scans to 3rd parties for marketing purposes (and potentially scams).

Now on this one I have severe doubts about the story and quality of journalism - the whole reason we have Apple and Google running this app is privacy, they refused to cooperate with the original NHS version because it was so leaky. Plus the journalists haven’t questioned this end of the data chain at all. Either the story is false or we have been lied to about the privacy aspects of the app. 50/50 I suppose.

But, if true, I am 100% certain that the complete ugly bastard Tim Martin who runs Wetherspoons will be top of the pile in selling your data.

I don't get what you are saying? You say you have doubts over story but if true you are 100% certain that TM would sell on data? I read that all data was to be kept private and not sold on. That would really put the government in a precarious place if they cocked that up.

Read it again, it’s not that difficult. I’m not sure if the story is accurate, but Tim Martin is just the sort to sell your data if he can see a profit in it.

Sadly the Sunday Times has printed some strange stories of late? I am sure I also heard someone from the government saying that all data would be protected.
I have trusted the government on this app and I won't be happy if my details end up at some dodgy company?

Can’t imagine the government presiding over an IT ****-up. I’m sure it’s fine.

Where did you get it from and who wrote the comment? I can barely understand it, but assume that it means there is another pathway for cases in educational settings. I don’t think it necessarily means what the comment interprets it to mean, though the whole thing is written in bureaucratic gibberish.

What I do know is that the test and trace people are phoning each of the seven people in my daughters house on a daily basis to make sure that they are isolating, They are very nice and read from a script according to my daughter. Presumably if one of them doesn’t respond, or, foolishly says that they are out and about, the coppers come round, kick the door down and collect some revenue.

Well if you can’t understand it and I can’t understand it I’m not going to put my faith in a bloke (it really has to be a bloke, doesn’t it) on a politically biased website. If the interpretation is correct we will see this in (slightly) more mainstream platforms soon I suppose - Grauniad and C4 News first probably.

Well, I'm sure Tramore can speak for himself, but, with respect, it seems pretty ****ing obvious that someone who doesn't want to catch the virus will feel 'vulnerable' when mixing with other people in shops etc.

As you rightly said Col, Tram can answer for himself.........and that’s why I directed a question to him. I was interested why someone would feel ‘vulnerable’ in living their daily lives, if taking the government advised precautions on social distancing and mask wearing etc....to me it’s like saying I feel vulnerable when crossing the road (I don’t), even when taking care to look left and right and taking all precautions.

You seem angry I asked the question.....why is that ?

    **** me mate.
You're often aggressive/angry/confrontational in your posts.
I'm not angry, I just thought it was pretty obvious why someone would feel vulnerable.

    Anyway, whatever.
