    Daughter still showing no symptoms.

Rather proud of her and her housemates. 3 of them have tested positive, one has had it already, none feeling ill. Those who have tested negative have decided to keep mixing with the others, as they have realised they could be in a rolling isolation scenario if they don’t all get it now. They seem completely organised, have mates delivering them milk, bread and eggs, have delivery slots for big food shops, have cleaned and sterilised the house and have set up an entertainments schedule involving the wii, wii fit, various other gaming platforms, have invested in a murder mystery evening involving dressing up, yoga mats being delivered, and they have every streaming service under the sun. Along with a fully stocked cocktail bar, a case of red and a case of Picpoul, and each of them cooking up a dinner in turn (fondue tonight apparently), it sounds more like a holiday home than a plague house. These kids are in control and I am delighted to feel a little redundant.

Her posh friend is providing this one. It’s a bit 1970’s for me.

Katie will be doing the partridge and quail for Sunday lunch, but she’s a bit nervous about the wine pairing.

Not. I remember her reaction to fish finger sandwiches which I suggested to her last year. I think she lived on them for a few weeks.

Noting to do with that SM. I was told by a legit friend who said they had spoken to a person who was busy at work preparing to close pups.

I got a similar thing a week ago Beth... scared the life out of me for a second. When I checked NHS info it Just said I should carry on as normal unless I get symptoms (get a test) or contacted again. That was seven days ago and nothing has happened so hopefully, I will be okay <yikes>

Top notch at advising his clients to move their investments out the country while declaring we hold all the cards over Brexit.

You turn everything into politics. And once again you are wrong but I'm sure you and few would believe that rubbish.

I have very strong feelings about John Redwood, but let’s keep this stuff to the politics thread please. I would hate to have to ignore another thread.

Am I though? He’s the sort of old as **** safe middle-class seat MP that will thankfully be gone forever in a decade but has gnawed away at the Tory party forever with his eurosceptic bile creating the mess we find ourselves in now and my generation will be poorer for it. **** him.

Fish fingers sandwiches were the height of extravagance as a student...we used to have baked bean toasties (kwik save beans 9p)....best one I heard though was taking the skin off kfc and saving it for the next day :cheesy:

In the Dark Ages, when I first went to university, before Internet, computers etc etc, when we used a quill pen and vellum to write our essays, a pint was about 32p in the pub, and about 25p in the college bar. No need for food.

I’m pretty sure had we maintained these prices we would all be much more chilled about viruses etc.

I'm struggling to understand how all these football players from different Clubs from all over Europe are travelling around Europe to play for their Countries, with all the various support people. European "lockdowns" aren"t lock downs at all - Madrid is supposed to be in "Lockdown", yet Spain are playing Switxerland there with players from all over Europe, and old mates greeting each other before the game being beamed out on TV.

Things are deteriorating quickly here.....in last 24 hours 1012 new cases, the incidence rate has gone from 108 last Sunday to 150 per 100k today.....health minister has stated that we are in the midst of a 2nd waive......we are looking at more stringent measures being introduced.....

Mrs TR and I went into Waterford today for the first time in weeks, place is very quiet but still felt a tad vulnerable walking around despite wearing a mask and just going into 1 or 2 shops....won't be going back any time soon....
