    The two greatest things about our wonderful club are it's glorious history and it's fans. Despite our current predicament, I'm always proud, when asked, to say I'm a Sunderland Fan. Lots of fans from other clubs talk about us with a warmness too. I think it's because we always have our feet firmly planted on the ground, with no delusions of grandeur.

    We had "history" before history was apparently very important these days, aslong as it was made during the 70s, anything before that was null and void. And when 1992 came along, only a small few are allowed to have it to enter the "big club" elite. We know who we are

    It’s funny how your mind works I can’t really remember ever getting beat in the 70s always seemed to come away from Roker happy. I always seemed to remember pop Robson scoring every match <laugh>
