Most Americans are traditionally disconnected from Federal politics, and unconcerned about who is in the Whitehouse, unless there’s a big national issue that affects them all, like the Vietnam War.

But then they thought it would be a laugh to put an actual madman in there, and it really isn’t going so well. What’s most worrying about Trump is that his base absolutely love him because they are as mad as he is. Those people - who seem to genuinely believe he was Sent From Ghaad - are indeed getting what they deserve, but the rest of America deserves better.

Biden is an uninspiring candidate, and in our terms, probably slightly to the right of Boris Johnson. But he’ll win because he isn’t Trump, and most Yanks have woken up to the active harm he is doing. Wether they’ll wake up eventually to the active harm corrupt bodies like Big Oil, Big Pharma, the NRA, etc are doing to their country, is another matter.

Meanwhile, in Blighty, we have our own ****ing problems, and our very own comedy ****wit PM in Westminster.

Does Corbyn really lack leadership qualities? Politics should be about principles and ideas, not glamour and charisma.
