I wouldn't necessarily say that's the case. As long as he can get one or two training sessions in I think he'll start.
I think he's OK to play. "Southampton midfielder Armstrong tested negative after arriving at the Scotland camp on Monday. However, a subsequent Uefa test came back positive, meaning he must self-isolate for 10 days from Tuesday." Assuming 10 days from Tuesday 6th isolation is over 15th/16th, game 17th. Makes it manager's choice as he won't have trained with the squad pre match. In Ralph we trust.
If he tested positive Tuesday, could he have infected any of our squad on Sunday? Is it possible that negative test Monday was a false negative?
May reflect a low viral load. Entirely possible that you may get a different response on 2 separate occasions in that case.
Real shame it didn't work, genuinely one of the most skilled players since MLT. But I guess he was just too undisciplined to play in the PL. I personally think he's been harshly treated here. Good luck to him.
Right player, wrong time. He was badly managed for quite a while and we weren't in a situation to afford a luxury technical player for large periods of his time here. I've never bought into the 'he's lazy' rhetoric but I do think he perhaps lacked the tactical discipline that coaches were looking for. His technical ability is insanely high and he was thrilling to watch at times with some of the stuff he could do. Will always love the WBA goal.
