Don’t worry, we have a much more spectacular bridge lined up for him just up the road in Clifton.

I think the best chance of Biden winning is if Trump blusters his way out of hospital, back to the White House, then visibly fails/falls apart during the next Trump - Biden 'debate'.
All the time that Trump is either still in hospital, or otherwise convalescing, his followers will continue to revere him, but if he attempts to go back to 'Business as Normal', then collapses, literally or metaphorically, the average (undecided?) US voter may decide that having a 'lame duck' president may be a step too far, even for inhabitants of The Land of The Free.

The trouble is, as one of the Nosferatu, he'll just change into a bat and fly off. Now where are those wooden stakes?

Why spoil such a beautiful structure? There must be another bridge that mérits the man?

The Humber Bridge would do nicely I think.

The Forth Bridge in Storm 10 wind would be much better!

Bridges are wonderful constructions as they provided links between different communities. They can be awesome in spanning valleys, crossing rivers. What is there not to like about bridges?

Is anyone actually buying that Trump contracted Covid and 4 days later miraculously is claiming that he feels the best that he has for 20 years?
It all smacks of desperation and the medical staff seem to all be in on it. It's an insult to the many thousand of US citizen fatalities that he has presided over. Playing politics with the pandemic is a new low even for him.

I'm beginning to think he never had it, but am trying not to get drawn in to the conspiracy theories - I am no better than the "COVID doesn't exist" camp once I do.

It would make sense though that he never had it as the conflicting news coming out about timelines etc just screams out LIES.

It was also a bit too staged the walking on the balcony, removing the mask and then fist pumping like a super hero.

I never realised how much I despised the man until that moment.

I'm not bothered enough to really type a paragraph about it but both the trump and boris speeches the last 2 days have left me pretty ****ed off for a reason I can no longer rationalise in my own head.

I don’t think Trump looked all that well when he took his mask off. At some point the drugs will either wear off or send him into a toxic coma, at which point we’ll know what condition he’s really in. Nothing will stop his devotees adoring him though; welcome to the cult of Trump.

Here's hoping. Not because I wish death or illness on him (well, maybe not), but because we need him to be really ill so people don't fall for this publicity stunt and believe COVID is all fake news. Very dangerous the way he has reacted, even if he had a mild form of it only. A public figure, a world public figure actually should be more responsible. Oh it's Trump though.

His core supporters already flock to rallies, eschew masks, and ignore social distancing; that won’t change. And I fully expect him to pull some sort of John Wayne meets Jesus, tough guy Messiah act after this, if he’s able to stand up long enough to make it look convincing. Which it won’t be to any rational people, but the rational people are in danger of being outnumbered by the crazies at the moment; and not just in the US of A.

Feels like he is really REALLY goading death at this point.

I genuinely hope he doesn’t though, because he will become some kind of martyr if he does, that and it will probably lead to President Pence.

Also he won’t be able to squeal when his legal immunity ends at the end of his presidency...

I hadn’t seen this before. Wasn’t sure if it belonged in here or Ralph’s.
