I think that Ralph already has made a decision on the likes of Sims and Hesketh and Tella has a couple of years on them. You won't often get an Academy product that is fully formed and ready, it is like taking a punt on a gut instinct.
I’d take Walcott on a loan for depth and experience, he might not set the world on fire but he is at least competent and would fit a need that we have right now. Agree with Osvaldo Re: Sims, the way things have panned out with him is strange really considering he is definitely capable at the very least, unless he has gone backwards.
Someone forgotten about is Victor Moses. Can cover the positions we seem to be keen on (full back and winger), was decent for Inter last year as well and can’t see Chelsea wanting him. Would be a good loan signing I think and leave the other loan spot for someone else
Just had a check and been told Walcott's move to Saints is now 90% done already. Theo wants it, Ralph wants it and Everton are willing to compromise enough for it to be financially viable for Saints and in line with our wage structure. Not expecting any hiccups... (famous last words!)
Like him or loathe him, Jim White on TalkSPORT text Walcott to ask about the move to Saints, Theo replied with a wink emoji.
Does this mean we've paid up the last year of his contract and he's signing for them as a free agent, or we are selling him for £0 and not paying up his contract?
Sheesh how much money do Everton have and how much have they spent in the past 3 or 4 seasons. Just bought Godfrey from Norwich for £30m.
he has 9 months left of an approx 60k a week contract so around £2.2 million. Rumours are that Elche have paid a compensation towards his wages, so I reckon it would of cost around £1.5 million to get rid off.
One of Les’s finest attempts to ruin the club. Signing a favourite player of a manager who was clearly never going to survive the season, the sheer illogicality defies belief!
