Looks like this one is pretty nailed on.

Just had a check and been told Walcott's move to Saints is now 90% done already. Theo wants it, Ralph wants it and Everton are willing to compromise enough for it to be financially viable for Saints and in line with our wage structure. Not expecting any hiccups...

    (famous last words!)

I will take a punt and say he will wear the no.32 shirt that he wore when he first came through with us.

Transfermarkt reckons his contract is up in the summer, so he'll have to use his time with us to play himself into a permanent signing or for a contract with another team when he's a free agent.

I'm not excited by this, I think hes long since past his best and think we could do better for both the short term (this season) and potentially long term (i.e. try before you buy),... however...he is a Saint. I remember all those years ago watching him break through at Saints and of course if he comes back which it looks like he will, he'll have my full support.

I’ve literally just posted about this on the PL board.

Good riddance to the half arsed beaut.

    That is all.

I would rather have taken James Rodriguez for the season, but Theo will have to do...

Paying 50% of his wages apparently, which if true will be £50,000 per week.

If we assume we're paying him until the end of May, that works out at £1.7m on wages.

He will essentially be the replacement for Boufal (for one season anyway).

So if he comes back and does well for us, then great stuff. Or if he barely plays, barely scores, produces only the occasional flash of magic, and is just an all-round 'meh' signing, well then he's the replacement for Boufal.

Give the guy a chance!! At 31 he is at the peak of his fitness. As long as his brain is in gear he should be ok for us. Don't think Bouful going this season

Seems a strange one, but I’ll get behind it. Is he still quick? Definitely seemed to lose his way up there.

Not upset by this. Not overly thrilled, but he'll be a useful option. Remember that this season is super-congested, so we'll need good squad options, which is precisely what he is, and precisely what we don't have.

    Plus he'll be motivated.
