if tobes reads this, skip to the last sentence. Done well so far. Fair play to him, ancelotti clearly got potential of faith in him and paying dividends. Still think tactically against better teams may get found out a touch but wait to see. He’s been awesome.
I think Everton are currently "the best of the rest". They could push that second tier group of Man Utd, Arsenal, Spurs and Chelsea. I'd be happy to see them finish in the top four tbh; they're playing decent football and I'd prefer them over the four sides mentioned above (don't mind Arsenal either tbf but they're the worst of that four)
Very good going forward, but gave the ball away in dangerous areas quite a bit I thought and needed some last-ditch defending - and Pickford still blows hot and cold. They're a lot better than they have been for a while though. A quality manager like Ancelotti is just what they've been lacking. Should be an interesting derby - could be an interesting season.
Could have been describing the other four teams I mentioned above there, none of them can defend and they all have a dodgy keeper (maybe not Leno)
He's a good signing and is a part of Evertons improvement, but he ain't 'top draw'. Never was, never will be #endof
Did anyone hear 5 Live yesterday evening with Savage and Sutton? A 'Concerned Liverpool fan' rang up to say how 'Scared' he was of this 'awesome' Everton side. Started off with an accent somewhere between Stan Boardman and Tarby, but after 2 or so minutes had lapsed back into broad Woolymanc, a cross between Jack Duckworth and Wallace without Gromit. Half expected him to start munching on tripe and cowheels as the section progressed. ****ing desperate.
End of As if that somehow ends the debate. No mate, it’s not end of, that’s merely your opinion. An opinion formed by intense study of the man I’m sure
James is proving to be a great signing. I’ve just watched the highlights and even he must have been surprised at how much space he found himself in for both of his goals...teams will need to mark him much tighter. Ancelotti is a ‘top drawer’ coach and he has signed well - Doucoure is arguably as important as anyone else in that team and Ancelotti has improved the players he currently has.....except Pickford. He’s still sh*t In a season where disruption and number of games will have an effect, people need to take Everton more seriously. I think that they have a great chance of top four......we all saw what Leicester did a few years back with quality. As long as they finish below us, I’m all for Merseyside becoming more dominant as a whole tbh....even if their growth comes from dodgy money Manchester in decline and Merseyside becoming the power of English football....it’s like the good old days
