Lost concentration after the 2nd goal. Vyner and Hunt never closed Freeman down properly in fact best described as half hearted.

Vyner has been struggling all game, Hunt great going forward poor defensively again.

Bentley, Mawson, Bakinson, Martin, Weimann, Paterson, Rowe have been outstanding, Wells looks a real threat and scored a great goal. Moore has done ok, just a little sloppy at times.

I think Holden will rip them a new one at half time.

But please somebody tell me how Colbeck and Arter have not been booked for dissent?, both of them aggressively in the referee's face at every opportunity.

100% record going in to the International break. Great confidence boost and allows time for some of the injured to return, knowing they have to compete hard to get in the team!

Wow what a result backs to the wall second half.
But promotion sides hold out and we did that.
Great start to the season 4 wins 12 points.
Make no mistake Nottingham Forest will hit the playoffs quality players just not clicking at present.
Martin and Wells going to get better and better.

I was listening to the second half on Talksport 2 whilst driving to Taunton and my heart was in my mouth most of the way!!!
Forest threw absolutely everything at us !!!

Another great win, rode our luck at times and Bentley was awesome.

Bentley 9 was supreme today, made some breathtaking saves, handling was good and even his punching was good.

Hunt 5 great going forward but can be a liability at the back, far too many crosses coming in from his flank, doesn't close the ball down with conviction.

Vyner 5 poor first half, improved in the second, once more needs to put his body on the line to prevent crosses coming in.

Mawson 8 so cool under pressure, quality player with the ball at his feet.

Moore 6 steady performance, just a couple of unforced errors.

Rowe 7 didn't do a lot wrong, was faced by a lively 18 year old and handled him well.

Weimann 8 really played well today, he is improving every game in his new position, took his goal well.

Bakinson 8 what a player, what an engine kept going, never hides, so calm and collected.

Paterson 5 not at his best, especially after they pulled a goal back.

Martin 7 quality up top, holds the ball up and brings players into play, in the box always looking for Wells, another great assist. Everything that Diedhiou is not and will never be.

Wells 6 took his goal so well and always a danger, never gave up.

Subs:- Perfect use of subs at the right time. Semyeno gave them something to think about and unlucky not to score. Brunt calming influence when he came on and now to Diedhiou he came on and immediately made a great defensive header and then, might as well not have been on the field, looks to me like he wants out, never held the ball up once (which put us under pressure) and never put anywhere near enough effort to put their defenders under pressure to help see the game out, for me hopefully gone next week.

I suspect Holden will be happy with the result but not with the performance, throughout the game we allowed far too many crosses in especially from the flank defended by Hunt and Vyner, they both really need to put their bodies on the line to stop so many crosses coming in.

In truth we caught Forest at the right time, they lack confidence, but still looked good in patches but vulnerable at the back, they will improve and be a handful and compete against the better teams.

4 wins on the bounce and creating chances, that'll do for me.

    Bentley obviously was mom.
My first look at Weiman, outstanding today.
    Loved the pundit Tinnion, excellent.

Bentley got a lot of stick for some of his performances last season, some of his blunders were horrendous to be fair but he has always been a class Keeper and one of the best in the division.

Credit to Dean, Paul and Keith doing some good stuff so far and I'm warming to all of them, long may it continue

Bentley has been different gravy this season and 100% the player he was last season.
    Long may that continue.

Bentley started off like this last season and as our crappy midfield became more and more exposed and Fammy couldn't hold on to the ball up top and the defence became more and more under pressure, his form dipped along with the rest of the team.

Yesterday was the busiest he has been all season and he showed his class.

I suspect top of the list during this international break will be Vyner and Hunt being schooled in cutting out crosses, which was our problem throughout the game yesterday, all through the game you could hear Holden shouting "no crosses" every time Forest attacked down their left but still those crosses rained in throughout the game, neither ever got close to their man to prevent the crosses and although it was a wonder strike from Luke Freeman, Vyner or Hunt never attempted to properly close him down, maybe had they done so and continued to do so, we wouldn't have come under so much pressure.

It is not a moan it is a fact that Holden alluded to, in fact he alluded to the exact moment that saw us go from being comfortable to being uncomfortable. They had a throw in 10 yards into our half on their left and not for the first time this season, Vyner switched off and they took a quick throw and that led to the first wonder save that Bentley had to make in the game. Vyner is a huge talent but needs to learn quickly from his mistakes, something that I am sure that he will under our new coaches, Hunt is a conundrum do we lose his attacking prowess because of his lack of defensive nous?

Agree with everything you have said-Vyner is raw at championship level and will learn as he goes-as long as it does not cost us points-if it does then DH I’m sure will change it.
Hunt is fantastic going forward and his crossing can be excellent-however his defending has alway been questioned.
I trust DH seems so much more on the button than LJ and reacts much quicker than LJ.
But 12 from 12 tells me DH is doing a fantastic job at present.

Tinnion's punditry was the best I've ever heard on TV.
It was insightful and immediate and as the game happened - he didn't need slo-mos or replays, he was brilliant.
    Hope he's on every game.

Bentley was right on the money yesterday - what a performance!!
Of course he will make mistakes occasionally - everyone does - and it’s important to remember that a goalkeeper is the last line of defence and only gets called into action when the other 10 players have failed to co Tain the opposition.
If nobody ever made a mistake we’d win every game!

I've not always been complimentary to Bentley but the save in the first half in particular was world class !
I like how positive, (but not over the top and gushing) Dean Holden is, and he's doing all the right things so far and long may it continue.

What I like is at last we have something approaching a fully functioning midfield, something sadly missing since our championship season. The Defence is being protected better and we are now creating more chances and pretty much down to one young player and the improvement of Weimann in his centre midfield role and with Walsh, Williams and Morrell to return hopefully we have cover for loss of form.

He knows that loss of form is inevitable and he knows that even though we got 3 points on Saturday a couple of players were not at the races and I sure that he will address that and I suspect with replacements eager to come into the starting 11 if those players make the same mistakes they will be dropped and that's as it should be.
