Liverpool vs Manchester United Match Thread.

I know this is a bit premature as there is an International break but I thought it may be a good idea to set the ball rolling for a fixture for me is the biggest fixture of the season. This fixture has something that no other has, their supporters share a mutual hatred.

Venue Anfield.
Liverpool have had an okay start to the premiership season having won 4 of their opening 7 games, collecting 13 points.

Manchester United have won 6 and drawn 1 of their opening 7 games. They have been scoring for fun recently having put 8 past Arsenal, 3 past Chelsea and 5 past Bolton.

Liverpool have won the last 3 at Anfield in this fixture, the last one being in March with a 3-1 victory. Last season this was the fixture of hat-tricks with both Dimitar Berbatov and Dirk Kuyt grabbing hat-tricks.

It will be an interesting game, one both sides will loathe to lose. It won't decide anything but there is pride at stake on both sides.

Don't anyone kid themselves. This will be very, very tight. A lot of opportunities for cards of both hues will be on offer.
