Fine by me, IF he can lead the attack in all competitions this season (and spare Kane from the god of injury < standard > ) .
Milik’s also had a few serious knee injuries in the last couple of years IIRC. That’s always going to be a concern with a big money signing.
Around a £6m profit should Villarreal make it permanent. Not bad considering he’s barely featured over the years, albeit I think we all know he’ll likely turn into a good ball playing CB within a couple seasons then join Barca or City for about £60m!
Yeah I’ve always thought that Foyth has got a lot of potential but maybe as a young player he needs a slightly less intense environment than the PL to cut his teeth in. Moving straight to us was perhaps a bit of a leap and having more of a stepping stone first would have polished him a bit. He’s terrific on the ball and he’s got that Argentinian devil in him which I love but he needs to be playing football at his age. Definitely one to keep an eye on as his career develops.
I’d say he’s another example of our poor handling of youth/ young players over the years. Should’ve had at least one, arguably two loans over his three years, even if just half a season ones. The guy could never really improve when he was playing roughly a 1-in-6 game ratio, if that. We ruined KWP like that and Skipp was getting that treatment too, thankfully we done the right thing this summer and got him out for a year, looks like it’s already paying dividends. I think had Foyth had one or two loans by now, he’d arguably be a regular in the team, especially when you consider how bad our CBs have been the last couple years.
It's that stupid circle of imbalance in our squad. We have these youth players that are treated as filler and they never get picked because they don't have experience. They then never gain experience, as they never get picked. Then someone important gets injured, we chuck them in for a game or two and they haven't played for months. Substandard performance, back in with the other unwanted squad fillers and repeat. We need to get back to what we were doing a while ago, where we have two players for each position and youth out on loan. If they can prove themselves well enough to make a dependable squad player, then great. If not, go out and play some games. The clubs need to be selected sensibly though, as we've ****ed that up massively in recent years.
Apparently we’ve rejected a second loan offer from PSG for Dele, €4m fee. I reckon if we do loan him out we’d want double that.
After they offer €1.5m in the first place I would tell them to **** off as a point of principle. They are one of the richest clubs on the planet and that was a beyond joke of an "offer".
The reference to the Special Relationship was also a treat. Social media team have been on good form this window to be fair.

Two sirens in a day for the second time this window. Have we fallen into a parallel universe or something? What’s happening at Tottenham?!
A few other times that's happened 2019-20 2nd July 2019 - Jack Clarke & Tanguy Ndombele 2017-18 23rd August 2017 - Davinson Sanchez & Paolo Gazzaniga 31st August 2017 - Serge Aurier & Fernando Llorente 2016-17 31st August 2016 - Georges Kevin Nkoudou & Moussa Sissoko 14th February 2017 - Nathan Oduwa & Nabil Bentaleb (leaving)
So...lets get this right... 2 signed for the under 23's. A keeper signed. 2 wing backs signed. A defensive midfielder signed. An attacking midfielder. We appear to have addressed weaknesses in the make up of the squad and will not be sweating on deadline day. Any other signings will be a bonus... WTF is going on?????
