Oh I agree with that. I was just saying that I think his absence from Saints social media and absence from first team training sessions is unusual. I wouldn't expect him to come straight into the first team without a period of training with the first team. But we'll see what happens after the international break. If he is still missing then it's probably fair to suspect that theres more to his lack of involvement then simply fitness. I'm probably being overly suspicious but hey.
I suspect he has been on an individual training regime for fitness and they have marked the international break as a good opportunity to work with the squad as Ralph has more time on the training pitch during breaks - despite the fact a few internationals will be missing. It wouldn't surprise me either if Ralph had him doing a lot of "classroom" work to get used to the way we play. It might be more beneficial to actually see the system working in footage of a match situation before you get stuck into it on the training pitch.
I'm glad it looks as though we will have a signing in before Sunday - if we hadn't signed anyone and failed to win you can only imagine the doom and gloom amongst fans.
Ok, we are on 991 premier league goals. Just 9 to go until 1000 If only it was possible to score 9 in one game.
Looking at the replies I see that Wilty thinks a centre back doesn’t need to be fit to play in the EPL because they don’t do much running Someone give the Ralph Razor Ruddock’s number immediately
I saw that reply - I think if you were to choose one tweet to sum up football twitter, it would have to be that one! Never ceases to amaze
In Ralph we trust! Plenty of games this season to ensure he's fully prepared and up to PL level of performance.
Woohoo. Televised football in an empty stadium. And we’re playing West Brom. It just doesn’t get any better.
This where I get shot down in flames, but this entry is number 38 in our conversations about a Premier League match that kicks off in less than two hours. Normally by now there would be several hundred entries. It would appear that enthusiasm for football, or possibly "Televised football in an empty stadium. And we’re playing West Brom", to plagiarise Play Up Pompeii, has been sucked out of the collective souls of Saints' Not606'ers. No speculation on teams, no banter with opposition fans, not much of anything. Have we stopped bothering to get excited about football? Is this the real cost of Covid-19?
I am looking forward to the game and hoping that we are clinical against the bottom sides like last year. I think that the issue is that there is little debate over who starts: maybe only Vestergaard or Stephens and we have have been painful to watch despite an important win at Burnley. A positive winning performance is what is required.
