According to Richard Cawley the offer from QPR is well over a million. I would accept that offer and bring in two strikers.
I think Bonne is still a good player, yes he misses chances but I believe he is still a 20 goal a season striker for league 1. We've been poor the start of this season but now we're getting players in that should hopefully change. My worry is if we do get rid of him are we realistically gonna be able to find another player this late into the window with the salary cap who will be better and not a gamble like Bonne was in the first place?
One hopes that we’ve learnt a lesson from previous windows ,when RD was only interested in clawing back money, that we’ll have replacements already in place for players we’re thinking of selling on
£2m for a guy who misses so many easy chances & who has been very poor this season. At last we have been the beneficiary of a silly money deal
On a serious note about Bonne ...he’s told QPR Twitter that his head was turned as soon as he heard of their interest. You could tell from his “performances” for us this season, which were woeful. He’s a lucky boy to be back in the Championship...I can’t help thinking he will be found out sooner rather than later.
Bonne done remarkably well last season given the step up from non-league. However, IF we can improve the squad with him going then it is good business.
Just seen Lee Bowyer’s interview. I’m really disappointed that we haven’t at least signed a replacement for Bonne, let alone a right back, in time for the Sunderland game. Unprofessional & asleep on the job.
My mates a QPR fan and very underwhelmed by the signing, told him we’re rubbing our hands together and can’t stop smiling
I walked into the bar this afternoon and one of my customers, a QPR fan, was reading the news report. He had absolutely no idea of who Bonne is. I hope Bonne does well for them, if he can cut it with a middling Championship team he may yet attract people from higher levels and make a name for himself.
A still water with ice and lemon please mate. What's the name of your boozer? I can feel a 606 jolly boys outing brewing.
