Trips to Italy, Holland and Denmark, not bad tbf. Not overly exciting matches but should be able to progress. Hopefully with games to spare so we can rest players this time.
Group D: Liverpool, Ajax, Atalanta, Midtjylland Liverpool will face AFC Ajax, Atalanta BC and FC Midtjylland in the 2020-21 Champions League group stage. The Reds were placed in Group D during Thursday’s draw in Geneva, alongside the teams from the Netherlands, Italy and Denmark respectively. The group stage will get under way later this month, with fixtures pencilled in for October 20/21 and October 27/28. Subsequent matchdays are scheduled for November 3/4, November 24/25, December 1/2 and December 8/9. Fixture details will be confirmed on Liverpoolfc.com in due course.
Happy with that draw. Good travel wise as well. I would have been happy with whoever we drew actually, it means football's back. I will pray that the world heals quickly and that there will be no health issues.
Group H: Paris St-Germain, Manchester United, RB Leipzig, Istanbul Basaksehir P45 waiting for someone.
In a congested season that draw on paper looks kinder than it could have been. Not much travelling, potential to get job done earlier so can rest. Not going to be easy, Ajax despite losing quite a few players over last 2 years are a decent side. Atalanta did really well last year.
