A good signing IMO. Bowyer could be the type of no nonsense manager he needs. We’ve got him for free when we would have had to pay a substantial transfer fee nine months ago in the Championship. MM has proved he can score & create goals in League One. We sorely lack creativity in midfield, so it’s an upgrade. One year contract, with the option of a further year.

Our manager will relish the challenge I hope. He's had his fair share of problems to overcome in the last two seasons, but now he's facing challenges of a new kind. This is always good in my view. He will succeed and raise his stock, or fail and learn by it. At the moment, regarding the issue of one player at any rate, Lee Bowyer should have enough credit in the CAFC bank to learn such lessons without it costing him his job.
If at the end of the day it comes to a fight then I know who I will be betting on to be still standing afterwards... Bow is well versed in the art of Fisticuffs
