Thiago has tested positive for COVID. Will Liverpool have to forfeit games if enough of the squad is compromised? Or will they be allowed to postpone? No idea if the PL have a protocol already but it could be a tricky one for them.
Premier league games can be postponed with permission. Only the last game of the season can't be...unless there is a pretend bomb in your ground!!!!
So Arsenal have been exposed to two Covid clubs so far and play the Scouse again on Thursday. Should ban them really, just in case.
So the refs can show ‘greater leniency’, but they still stand by the decision to give a penalty for the Dier incident? That is absolutely diabolical. Be prepared for more stupid pens given, then.
This is no more than giving the refs increased ability to favour the teams they favour anyway. Don't give that pen against Liverpool, no problem, ref was just displaying common sense. Give that pen against most other teams, the ref was sticking to the new law. Until the Dier pen is given against Pool or ManU I won't be convinced otherwise. But it won't be, will it?
The only time you`ll see a pen like Dier`s given against Pool, is when they are 3-0 up already or in a dead rubber game.
The difference being that their referees bothered to read the handbook, rather than make it up as they go along ...okay, some of them, given how useless Portuguese refs always seem to be
FC Midtjylland coach Brian Priske on how to spend the money from qualifying for the Champions League: "I've been promised a fence around our training pitch so we don't have to pick up all those ****ing balls"
Landon Donovan, ex-Everton striker and US legend, is the manager and owner of 2nd tier San Diego Loyal. His side have walked off in two consecutive matches to protest discriminatory abuse. The first was a racist slur and the second was a homophobic insult to their openly gay player, Collin Martin. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54367938 The player who was racially abused is Elijah Martin, who used to play for LA Galaxy II, the reserve side of Beckham's old club. They're also the side that they were playing against when he was abused. Fair play to them for getting rid of the player who allegedly used the obvious, unrepeatable word, though: Martin was called a batty boy by a Jamaican player, which the ref didn't react to, as he didn't know what it meant: Something tells me that we won't be seeing a gay equivalent of taking the knee anytime soon.
Afro-Caribbean culture (Christian/Muslim/general) is not as tolerant of homosexuals as the' delusionals' believe. Let the cognitive dissonance commence ...
Remember how, a couple of years ago, Jean Michael Seri looked like the player our midfield was crying out for? What the hell happened?
In the past decade, I cannot recall many players who Spurs had a reasonable chance of signing but passed on it and they went stellar. Suarez allegedly. Any more ??
