I am watching a program on Apple TV called Ted Lasso - it is Jason Sudeikas playing an American football manager. He has done some sketches as the character before, I think he did a coaching session at Spurs I seem to recall, but it is now a series, and it is really good!
Not a Netflix or box set but I saw that film Tenet today. Absolutely brilliant and bamboozling at the same time. A combination of James Bond and Dr Who, incomprehensible but compulsive watching. Go see it!
I've only just got round to watching it, along with the follow up documentary. Some good issues raised, especially about the way victims are portrayed in the media, and the affect on the family. What occurred to me though, and I know you can't rationalise the thinking of a nutcase, but why did he rent an upstairs flat, when he had a habit of disposing of the remains in the garden at his previous address?
His landlord served him notice on the place with the garden. Dunno why he took an upstairs flat though.
Regarding Des , loads of people complained to ofcom about the amount of smoking . A story of a nutter murdering blokes and dismembering their naked bodies to flush down the bog , and that’s what offends them . Welcome to UK 2020 ..,,,, was good tho .
Des was a brilliant watch. David Tennant was excellent. I’ve just finished Criminals on Netflix and enjoyed that too.
Were they smoking dope? People with psychological problems do or end up with them through smoking too much of it.
Not exactly a box set (though they are a huge set of films), MCU watchers may be interested to know that Black Widow has been delayed again. It was due to come out in November but has been pushed back a second time to May 2021. WandaVision (which is a TV Series coming up on Disney+) is scheduled to release before the end of the year and will act as the build up to Doctor Strange 2.
Des is recorded to watch so will be watching over weekend - just wanetd to echo 'Criminals' - very very clever (have to stick with it). David Tenant in first episode was brilliant. Last two episodes of season two were awesome and a little thought provoking too !
He obviously fancied going up in the world..... but wasnt it him who complained to the landlord about the smell/drains blocked? almost as if he wanted to be caught having got fed up with killing without any recognition for his efforts?
Apologies if this has been discussed on here before, but just about to finish watching Fauda on Netflix. Gripping, brilliant and scary all at the same time. Some of the action scenes are a bit far fetched but well worth a watch.
Watched a couple of things over the weekend. The Trial Of The Chicago 7 - It's the true story of the men put on trial in the 60's for a riot that developed during an anti-Vietnam War protest in Chicago. It stars Sacha Baron Cohen and if you enjoyed, but were infuriated by, When They See Us, then this one will make you feel the same. Recommended. The Haunting Of Bly Manor - This is a nine part horror, which in usual 'made for Netflix' manner, carries on for far longer than it should. I can't really say anything about what happens in it, without it being a spoiler, but it's spooky, rather than gory, it goes on too long, gets a bit messy in parts (lots of jumping backwards and forwards in time, with some episodes from the perspective of a single character). I quite enjoyed the first few episodes, but by the end, I was just glad it had finished.
This thread is proving to be invaluable to me and no doubt others cos there is no way I/we have the time to try out even a fraction of whats on offer. Keep it up chaps.
i haven't got round to watch the much lauded haunting of hill house yet. which one would you pick if there had to be a choice? hill or bly?
