Just watched Bruce's presser and I think it's safe to say nufc won't be signing anyone else this summer.

 

so all the early transfer activity was just a smoke screen
we spend 35 million and this was the amount left over from a no spend at Christmas

 

Yes and they spent it in a short sharp way so that it appeared bigger than it was... The helicopter the lot.. Mike made 35 million look much more than would have in drips throughout the window.

As for the spend of 35m I am not surprised and actually said that we wouldn’t buy anyone else. That what we have signed isn’t that much better than what we had bar maybe Wilson.

It is only a matter of time before we get relegated.

 

I like our team a lot, I think we've got the wrong manager for the wrong squad.

If we had a young manager who played attacking football we'd score a good amount of goals and look strong, we have bags of pace.

Weakest area of the pitch is the midfield two Jonjo and Hayden, we're in desperate, desperate need of a CDM. Almiron CAM and Hendrick box to box is the best we can hope for, possibly Sean replacing Hayden.

So I can't understand why we're so incapable of signing any quality whatsoever given it clearly doesn't matter that much where you are as a club.

We're behind killed at both ends of the league and have been for 13 years

 

This is where maybe RLC might actually help out. Hayden has a purpose but is horribly exposed by JS. If you had a midfield three of say RLC Hayden and say Longstaff. That would control the midfield a bit better.

It would link up with max (left) miggy (right) and an other probably Hendrick or Joelinton (given Ritchie is now injured) with Wilson up top.

Any thoughts?

 

We just need one or two decent cm and a decent manager and we would move from relegation fodder to mid table possible top 10.

And I say decent manager because I think Bruce is more a coach than an actual manager.
