A gdpr breach (which changed just after our last takeover) can cost up to €20m or 4% of annual turnover, whichever is greater, people have to be very careful, if for example the club said Niall Quinn’s dad was trying to buy the club without his consent and then it failed the fit a proper test and damaged his reputation then that would not be good would it?
Yes but if you can't see the difference between leaking news to a local fanzine and officially announcing something, you're being a bit dim, so less of the patronising "ffs" please.
For the 2nd time in a few days I’m going to say a poster could talk a glass eye to sleep. Funnily enough, the 1st time was in response to KittenMittens
Touchy aint you. The ffs was not aimed at you. Of course i know the difference. Ya missing my point. Forget it
The 'nothing is happening' brigade will pounce on absolutely anything to prove their point. It's like a form of desperation. Night all.
I am incredibly touchy yes! I think it's fair to assume it was aimed at me as we were going back and forth and quoting eachothers posts I'm definitely not missing your point mind - you're saying the silence is good news as nobody is leaking anything which is a lesson learnt from last year. Which I agree with.
The local press wont do anything to damage their links with the club. Look at last year with fpp nothing comes out until its on the back of a national paper. Then 5 minutes later the echo and chronicle both have full stories on the buyers that they already had prepped. They probably have info but wont be the ones to break the story if the club wants it quiet.
What will be will be , must be honest I thought their is no way that he was a serious bidder or that he could end up being the owner of SAFC probably because he looks completely different and appears to have a chequered past . One thing having watched his video on YouTube is that he appears to have an intimate knowledge of the club , the supporters , and most importantly the vast potential that SAFC presents with the right backing . Main thing is does he have the financial backing he claims and are his backers able to get past the EFL owners tests . The promise of putting at least £50 million over the top of the purchase price to get the club back to the Premier league has to be an attraction - dare we dream ,dare we put our trust in this consortium god knows . All we we can do is watch this space until we are made aware of what is happening and hoping for the best .
The one thing counting against Storey here is that the ONLY journalist to report anything on this says its not him. In fact its one of the very few things that have been reported on this at all. If it wasn't for that I'd be a bit more worried.
He hasn’t any knowledge of the club he just reads forums picks up the mood of the fans and repeats it on twitter or his mate recording on his iPhone, full on confidence trickster
sorry poor attempt at humour following somebody earlier pointing out that Kittens always says “We all know my view on..”
I hadn't watched the interview but did after seeing your post. To be fair I don't think he was saying that. He was using Clough as an example of what can be achieved at a small club. You could say Leicester fall into that category and they're challenging for the title again. Storey may turn out to be a fantasist but if it was a straight choice between him and Donald I'd have to give him a chance. He, at least, has a plan while Donald just seems to cross his fingers.
