If we had a pacey midfielder and a inside forward with pace and intent then Graham would be the perfect foil. As it is he will look isolated and be open to criticism. I’m hoping we will see more signings but won’t hold my breath

Gooch and Maguire both have goals in them but we need better from both. O’Brien says h scores goals but he’s missed a lot though he scored a decent goal against Villa kindergarten. I’m hoping we get Diamond and Neil up to speed but I think we need someone better than all of the above.

Why can't Grigg play an inside forward role with Graham No 9?

    meh, maybe not.

Tend to agree PP is ultra conservative with his team choice but I think we need a bit of a wild card forward with something different who can come off the bench and push himself into the team. You never know Diamond could be that player if he can grasp it with both hands when he's given the chance. A bit like Maja did

As someone said earlier. We still haven’t replaced Maja. We need someone with good movement who can finish.

    He will play Graham.

Wykes "legs up front" would be too much for Charlton.

People are taking the piss out of his comment but Wyke works his sack off and isn’t slow. To me the issue here is that his energy goes into the wrong stuff and Parkinson seems to be supporting it. I’m all for hard working strikers but when you’re a lone striker you have to preserve some energy for being a goal threat not just defending from the front.

There were a few times he came out wide to lay it off to Hume or onein. Going back to Quinnys time, I wouldn't want Wyke outside the width of the 6 yard box with gooch or maguire staying within 10 yards of him.

They could be called the 'G Force' ?

Or perhaps they are more suited to be 'G Strings'!

Hmm, a move that I remember from yesterday was one where Scowen crossed from the right to the far post, Wyke if he was up for it should have at least made an attempt to get in front of the defender... he didn't.

It’s crazy isn’t it. Wyke has all the physical attributes to be that strong number 9 but he simply seems too soft. If he had a bit of aggression then it’d do him the world of good. But, that said, he never looks like scoring goals in the league! Not sure if it’s because. We’re not playing to his strengths (whatever they may be) or what!!

We were once due to see him in Blackpool (after we'd just won 2-0) and I couldn't go 'cos I wasn't very well . . . . I was okay at the match, but by the time that we were due to go to the pier I was knackered (it won't have been the :emoticon-0167-beer: though) :emoticon-0145-shake

My mates still went, and he was brilliant (as you'd expect) :emoticon-0148-yes:
