A little information, from the owners of our club, would help no end ... ... otherwise people will speculate their rear ends off. It's all gone from open dialogue to omerta.
He was accusing everyone of being a racist who didn't agree with his views on BLM or hold up Ffloyd as a hero. This despite declaring the policeman, in question, guilty of a racially motivated crime ... ... based entirely on the colour of the officers skin.
The biggest thing for me is we don’t have a chairman, if the was no one interested and nothing was going on, that would of been filled weeks ago
Exactly Likewise the academy boss. I rarely get info but was told about a month ago that the academy position was sorted but still no anouncement (This was not from inside the club mind but from a very well respected friend who does a lot of work with Scottish clubs.) Definitely something happening
Well it's clearly gone on longer than they expected. They did say they were hoping to complete before the start of the season and with posts remaining vacant it all points to the takeover being well past the target date. It's looking like it won't be before transfer window shuts though so that rules out a big signing (if that was even likely)
no fans til March (earliest) nobody knows if Covid situation will improve or worsen, I can see this season being suspended or even abandoned this winter. Buyers market, things could become a great deal cheaper before very long.
I doubt anyone's ever noticed but I often post bits of info on Sunday evenings. That's because a legal fella, who's quite been quite friendly for over a year, drops me a message some Sunday afternoons. 'Your lot', as he calls us are 'mired in talks' and 'inching forward' according to his latest text. That's a massive boost, despite the brevity, as at least it's nothing final and depressing. I don't get to ask follow up questions, I've tried and failed miserably. Take it or leave it but this is the same chap who previously said 'Fuhrman has changed his stance and wants a resolution'. That could be for better or worse but worse, imo, would involve Donald finding someone to pay the FPP loan or buying the club, neither of which I believe possible.
Big concerns EFL clubs 1 and 2 will vote to end the season if a bailout is not found.(November). Nick Barnes source is Stuart Donald. (Further update from Nick Barnes expected in next 7/10 days).
Ta very much SIB! These are the small snippets of news that keep me going. I'm not saying other posters don't hear stuff, but your news has a 'story/history' around it, that just can't be 'made up' in my opinion. Cheers SIB!
BTW, I'll just mention that my 'story' has never changed despite what anyone else is saying. I was told Fuhrman was pushing for a deal and that's it as far as I'm concerned. It's fine for people to say it's £37m, which he can afford, so he should get on with it. Perhaps but there's much more to spend on ending contracts, replacing staff, academy, wages, renovations, etc and now all on the back of little income. This is why Ashley has failed to get Newcastle off his hands. £300m is supposed to be a bargain, according to the Nation, but the ground and training facilities are rotten. The stadium needs millions spending, the squad is average at best and there's an HMRC case hanging over the club. Buying SAFC would cost around £70/80 million. Perhaps us supporters could raise £37 million but not have the money to pay McGeady's first month's wages. Donald has no chance at £37m ... ... Fuhrman and every other potential buyer knows that so won't pay.
I don't have a good enough memory to remember everything I've posted over the last 2 years. Loads have tried their best to trip me up and failed.
Crazy Bob has just said he has info but is not saying anything for a few days until it’s announced. So. A few days. Then we’ll all know.
If it got to that it should be a case who can't carry on drops out to leave those who can to see the season out. Bollocks to a cartel of league one chairman saying, let's have a break and hopefully by next season the fans are in and we will all make a fortune from Sunderland being in the league again. Hopefully by then we will new owners and the legalities covered to a fine detail.
I agree for communication on if the takeover is real or not - I don't agree with someone speculating on someone's health.
