I'd say everyone is happy with any win.

But it's a chat forum where people will chat about the game.

It was really boring imo, their keeper barely broke sweat.

We had 2 attempts on target, at home, and I'm not happy with that tbh.

I think people are more relieved than happy with the win. Can anyone deny that Peterborough were the better team and lost?

Peterborough were the slightly better team.
The game was an unexciting turgid affair.
If we don't improve soon though we shall struggle.
    Im delighted with the win.
I believe most of our players have more skill per player than most other teams (on average)
I think the PP believes that blood and thunder and grinding out 1-0 results is the way out of League 1
He knows best but I fear for that culture as we will be relegated straight away from the Championship.
But....Gerrin for today and Hawwwwaaaaaaaaaaay the lads

Delighted with the result. I'd expected a draw.

However, I didn't think Peterborough were as good as they have been in the past 2 seasons, yet they were better than us. If we can keep grinding out the wins while playing poorly then great, but we need to improve quickly.

I think most fans can't help but put themselves in the manager's shoes and think about what they would do with the team, and any manager worth his salt always wants more from his team, so it's only natural that mixed in with the satisfaction from a win will be some critical comments.

If it was a choice between an end to end 3-3, and a dull 1-0 win I know what I prefer.

    Problem is though Vinkel.....
We were boring today and won via a penalty which is debatable. Peterborough on their form are not the best. That doesn't bode well. I would rather have 1-0 wins. I d prefer a 3-0 win though an thats my point. I acknowledge it can't be expected every week however you must acknowledge that for most games we are all sitting during the game hoping we will nick a 1-0 win at home! Thats not healthy and Smug is spot on in his. assessment. Just my opinion

Happy with the win but not with the overall performance. Their young lad, Dembele was Man of the Match for me. He had what we are lacking - a bit of zip and trickery. He always looked like he could make something happen. Whereas we lacked any creativity. How many fouls did we give away as well. We need to improve but if you win when you don’t play well then that’s got to be a bonus.

How many times have we battered teams then they get a break of the ball and we ended up losing the game , thankfully for once it was us that got the break not the opposition. Recent example SAFC 1 Bristol Rovers 1 a goalkeeping error gifted the opposition a goal start and something to hang on to , the first goal is always crucial just be pleased that today it was us that got it . The defence has conceded one goal in three games and that as I said was due to a goalkeeper error so we seem a lot more solid than previous years - long may it continue . Peterborough are second favourites with the bookies to win the league so it makes winning today all the more important and we will not meet teams of their calibre every week , take the victory and enjoy the victory rather than look for negatives .

Not aimed at any one person and is a general comment but for me there is a general negativity towards the team, due to the league we are in and many countless let downs.

You wouldn't think though we were a coat of paint (Bristol Rovers at home) away from maximum points from 3 games. Many said "rubbish v Bristol Rovers" then it was "first half Oxford was rubbish plus they had loads of players out anyway" now today is pretty negative or more negative than I would expect from a win against a really decent team who we had never beaten yet in league one.

I agree we could be better going forward but we are doing the majority of things right, we must be to be where we are in the league and I think we are only going to improve and get better.

Its hard but these players and manager need a bit more of a break and slack, remember they didn't put us league one in the first place.

We weren't great going forward today but defended very very well, let's take that big positive, count the points and march on.

We kept a clean sheet against a side who have always scored plenty. That'll do for me. I'm happy.

I think there needs to be a level of realism with a section of our fans at the moment.

We are in league 1 for our third consecutive season, the owner wants rid and our squad is made up of mostly free transfers mixed with a couple youngsters.

Whatever people think of the performances, we've made a very good start to the season only conceding a single goal in 3 games.

If Parkinson takes us up with this drab football then that's fine by me. He won't be here forever, but we will be in league one forever unless someone gets us out of it.

Let's give him and the team a chance.

We miss Mcgeady big time we need him back pronto, either that or replace him, we are getting lucky, Wyke what does he do ? it is worrying about our strikers, top 6 at the minute.

I was impressed with the endless huge kicks from our keeper but not with the tactic. Wyke won very few of these clearances and did nothing with those he did win. The goal came from clever play and getting into their box.

    I rest my case.

As skillful as McGeady is he makes us completely 1 dimensional. Add to that he's another year older and slower.

Sorry but we are not going to see McGeady in our side again , PP will not tolerate bullying and quite rightly so . He had flashes of brilliance that were getting rarer and rarer as he became slower with a tendency to want to hold on to the ball too long ,-time for the Club and him to move on .

It's exactly what Bradfords fans said we would get from Parkinson. Boring, uninspiring football but effective.
Our record since the turn of the year is W11, D5, L3 conceding just ten goals. We'll go up automatically if we continue getting 2.11 points per game but it won't stop a lot of complaining as it's ****ing awful turgid football to watch.

Some of the players picked yesterday have had chance after chance, Wyke is the prime example but there are two or three others.
