Just started reading this, Interesting to read that the Couhigs not only looked at Yeovil & got turned away, also Bury & Grimsby.
Were they turned away by all 3? If so, what did they see that we didn't? Or were they just stupid? Or did the Couhig's see something they didn't like and the clubs didn't like the way the Couhigs needed to cover it?
According to the book it's what we know about Yeovil, the Couhigs thought they had a deal & Yeovil directors voted against, & they don't know why. The Bury shambles sounds like what we read in the press Steve Dale did'nt have a clue what was going on in his own club. Grimsby it's as in the previous post, then Wycombe was mentioned they looked at a map realised we are 30mins from Heathrow. According to the first pages I have read the club were in a far bigger mess than certainly I realised
I am finding it's not so much about the games, it's what going on behind the scenes, just got to the the piece about Rocky Allsop when he reported to the Ref the homophobic abuse he got at Tranmere & the Times putting in the article a picture of him wearing the pink goalkeepers kit.
