Another game to use to get match fitness and bed in a few players, and rest a few if they have slight injuries. Expecting the likes of Lemina, Aina, Robinson, Cairney, Knockaert to be given a run out. May be try a Kamara - Abraham partnership. Who will play in Goal ?
Tonights Team Biggest surprise, Seri is on the bench! Fulham 12Rodák 4Odoi 3Hector 13Ream 33Robinson 25Onomah 8Johansen 11Knockaert 14De Cordova-Reid 7Kebano 47Kamara Substitutes 17Cavaleiro 20Le Marchand 23Bryan 24Seri 31Fabri 35Francois 44Carvalho
Two 1st half goals settled us down against a feisty Sheffield Wednesday team and Rodak got MOTM for numerous saves . Another case of going forward looking good but getting hit on the break defence was found wanting. Robinson had a good game but Odoi, Ream and Hector were suspect under pressure. Kebano, Reid and Johansen did a good job but Knockaert was good and poor, his choices of when to shot or pass is frustrating, he did well for Kamara's goal. Go to see Carvalho & Francios get game time. Interesting Cairney wasn't even on the bench, so is that to save him from injury like Anguissa and Mitro for Villa or something else.
It was a good win. I haven't seen the match myself but for me the biggest shock was Seri on the sub bench and coming on 2nd half. I suppose we can't sell him - what do we think on that ?
There is some talk of another loan for Seri but I wouldn't be upset if he stayed and payed a part. Perhaps plating him for the 2nd half was putting him in the shop window, but if he does go, it shows he doesn't want to contribute to FFC.
By all accounts he played quite well on Wednesday but I don't think he really wants to be here. I don't know who upset the dressing room last time round but if he has any negativity vibes then we need to get him out. Time will tell I suppose.
