Good Morning. It's Thursday 24th September, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road Bielsa gives green light to sign Bayern Munich star German media outlet 'Fussball Transfers' are suggesting Marcelo Bielsa has given Leeds the green light to negotiate a deal with Bayern Munich for midfielder Michael Cuisance. The former French International youth player, who has just turned 21, made nine Bundesliga appearances for Bayern last term following his €10m nove from Borussia Mönchengladbach last summer. Trying to prise Cuisance away from the Allianz Arena won't be easy. He has already rejected a move to Marseille in the last week saying:- "I saw that the club was interested, and I'm flattered. Marseille is a beautiful story. They're a legendary club who have won the Champions League. The coach has done a good job by getting them back into the Champions League. I'm happy for them. But I want to continue to focus on my project at Bayern." Bielsa's former club wanted Cuisance on loan, whilst Leeds would be looking for a permanent deal. Having missed out on the signings of Ben White and Josko Gvardiol in recent weeks, Leeds will be delighted to land a defender of Llorente's class without paying through the nose for him. Where does this leave Cooper? Had Leeds signed Gvardiol, the young Croatian would have only had been a fringe player at Elland Road leaving Koch and Cooper to build a partnership. I'm sure we would have seen cameo roles and filling in for injuries, but in the main stay he was seen as a player for the future. The same can't be said of Llorente, who is looking to add to his 5 senior caps for Spain. He was on the bench for both of Spain’s Nations League games this month and is considered one of the best centre backs in La Liga. Bielsa sometimes plays three centre backs, but only when playing against teams with two centre forwards. The Tigers are flying high in the third tier of the football league, including an impressive victory over makeshift Leeds side in the Carabau Cup. Grant McCann would love to make it a hattrick of former Leeds players, having already signed Mallik Wilkes and Louis Coyle during the Summer. In order to persuade Gotts to go to the KCOM Stadium, McCann must compete with Huddersfield Town which won't be easy as their Manager Carlos Corberan was, until recently U23's Manager at Elland Road. please log in to view this image
Morning all, Well that looks like centre back position is sorted. If this was the last of our incomings would you all be happy with the transfer window?
Yes, over the moon, didn't expect this much TBH, as we don't get the prem cash till season end isn't it.
Also, read yesterday on twitter that Sociedad fans are happy to see the back of Llorente and can't believe someone is willing to spend money on taking him.
Good Morning all, good news about a new CB. It's possible that we'll see a Llorente and Koch partnership prior to the end of the season if they work well in training alongside some 3313 games. I'm repeating myself here as I think we need to get someone in to play in the CM position alongside Klich as I don't think Rodrigo or Roberts can pull this off. Also seen rumours of Barkley, hopefully that's false as I wouldn't want him. Selfish and has a massive ego. Don't rate him and don't think he fits the side before self motto.
Morning all.... I also read we might be in for Ross Barkley. Amount spent and the quality (on paper) definitely although I don’t believe the CB will be the last, I’m confident a Pablo replacement will be incoming. I might have said no I wasn’t happy if a ball had not yet been kicked but the form of Costa, Harrison and Bamford has amazed me. Bielsa isn’t a guy to make sweeping changes, it will be very gradual and one at a time. I’d have liked an outstanding LB but I’ll settle for quality over quantity.
Just hope some more of these star-studded signings come off, we need more quality in PL I'm a fan of Robbie however Gotts won't gain much first-team football if any this season, Hull have shown interest for a few weeks now
Morning all if I was Robbie Gotts and had a choice of a Championship club and a League 1 club I would ask Bielsa for advice, in fact Bielsa may have already told him what to do. If however Bielsa says either choice is good, then he needs to balance Championship experience to playing every game in L1. No chance of Cooper being sold and I expect him to be fighting for his place within a month. The 2 best CBs will always come to the fore and develop a good understanding. Cooper is club captain and does a great job and must know he will spend time on the bench this season. Let us not forget that injury and suspension for CBs takes its toll and we now have cover
Let us hope Ryan Kent is still at Rangers in 12 days but we really need to bring in creative quarterback player we obviously need.
the DePaul saga has come to an end as is the fine weather where in Bardsey its raining Anymore players to come Doc? I think that Cooper will be surplus this season now we have 2cb
Don't think Coopers surplus at all, lost 2 CBs and have brought 2 in, don't forget we've lost Berardi who played quite a lot last season. We also had to drop Phillips back regular, now he can stay where he's needed most.
Yes more to come especially in the middle, its just trying to capture the right player who will guarantee to make an impact. De Paul was ideal and still may happen but looking bleak at the moment. Harry Wilson should be at Burnley later today, I like the Milanovskyi guy very much, but after that its all grey as old names brought back up again and Im sure we will bring in a top player. Just hoping Ross Barkley goes somewhere else. Lots of reports in Germany and France around Bielsa wanting the young kid from Bayern Munich? We have one loan player birth left and that could be for Keeper Gunn, but also the French kid if Bayern wont sell? not sure Bielsa actually wants Dan James as he only has one trick and cant play anywhere else unlike everyone else Bielsa uses. Buendia and Benrhama are still available too?
Thank you as usual DocBenrhama leave him to Villa they will destro0y him and Buendia too expensive Gunn yes and then we have Kent who sparkles p-laying against third rate teams how will he fare South of the border
If someone said that we'd have three new internationals (Spanish and German too!) in the team for this season I'd have bitten their arm off. Shows ambition. This will let KP fill has proper role instead of dropping back. Next up, do we now defend corners properly, and can we actually score from the bloody things. Will KP still be our dead ball specialist?
Don’t usually pass comments on individual players but personally I would not want Berkeley or Kent in the Leeds team
