Time to shake things up on Sunday. Ideally it would be good to see Dillon back in between the sticks, although it’s unlikely to happen. I’m also resisting a start for @dick plumb favourite player Jonny Williams. After the poor performance v Crewe, I would drop Barker, Forster-Caskey & Bonne. line up - Amos Doughty Oshilaja Pratley Purrington Gilbey Morgan Levitt Oztumer Davison Washington
I didn't watch the Doncaster game (I've never used streaming services) so I can't really debate your choices AR. Well, other than to remark it's a damning comment on the weakness of our squad that Oztumer and Oshilaja are the best options we have. Amos will get another six chances I reckon, and that's if Phillips stays. Should DP leave I don't think Maynard-Brewer will get a look in this year. I want to see what Levitt can do. Hope Barker's absence is not a long one. A game on the bench will keep his feet on the ground, but hopefully make him hungry to do well again. Washington has 2 in 2 (league) - let's hope he continues in that form...
Can’t really disagree with that. I can see why you have dropped Bonne, but I believe the goals will come. Yeah I know. I want to see an Aneke/Washington partnership up front. We desperately need bodies in defence.
Poor old Chuks won't be back playing for a few weeks I guess, as COVID19 is/was actually making him feel unwell. He wasn't fortunate enough to be one of those who has no symptoms. I hope he is recovering OK. Lack of updates about his condition hopefully mean he is on the mend.
I like that side. I just find Johnny Williams so frustrating. He has got lots of ability but very little end product.
I am starting to agree with you after the first two games of this season. He was excellent in our League 1 promotion season, and he really should be grabbing games at this level by the Bollox. Little Oztumer now seems totally out of favour, at least for league games. It’s time to start Josh Davison IMO. We were static upfront v Crewe.
or give that lad from the U18's a go, he seems to know where the goal is! GET THE PIG BACK HOME!... when we can.
I read about us being interested in Joe Pigott yesterday. Hardly an eyebrow raising signing. Cambridge...Maidstone....AFC Wimbledon. Is he now a free agent? I think I would rather us play Lester Piggott up front.
Sadly no-one is going. Unless Lincon's stadium has an open side and fans can watch from the streets outside? I know there are a few lower league grounds like that. But I don't know which ones.
Thanks for that information CafcFactsStats. So is our injury / sick list now as follows; J. Pearce C. Aneke A. Gilbey Anybody else?
Not a promising start to his Charlton career. Another sick note ? Assume Lapslie will start in his place.
