Couldn’t believe it when I saw him warming up in front of me. Looked like he’d just been born. It takes diff’rent strokes. Knowing our luck they probably meant to buy the Danish and accidentally invested in us.
Milton “Tyson” Nuñez played in my team in Uruguay (Club Nacional de Football) and he was great. Here are some of his goals: Of course, with his height, he couldn’t play in Premier League... In Sunderland playing in L1, if he was younger, he could be usefull. He was a pacy goalscorer. Great memories from 1998 of Milton!
aye, that actually crossed my mind after i posted...it could be the reason they decided to pull out, just plain and simply it does not make great financial sense right now...hope i was closer to the truth with my previous post...or the squeaky bums wont belong to SD
Surely now is the best time to buy. Not six months time when there is a real prospect that things will be getting back to normal(vaccine and all that)
It’s an elaborate piss take, done purely to annoy Donald. Out of interest does anyone know if there was loads of speculation about the sale? The deals that happen often seem to be those that don’t have lots of information coming out and are more “ out of the blue”. Supposed buyers that court publicity seem to, more often than not, be ****ehawks. See William Storey.
Apologies if someone has already pointed this out, but Platek's purchase of the Danish club does smack in the face of Stuart Donald's claim that FPP only invest in management people like him, not clubs.
A big part of the 'sales brochure' for SAFC is the size of the support. At the moment Donald can't 'sell' that so there must be a price adjustment. In addition I believe the onus is all on the seller and not the buyer. There would have to be a massive price drop if Donald failed to get us up and fans still aren't allowed in the ground. Even if fans come back there would be significantly fewer as we'd be looking down another season in L1 with a wage cap and sub-20000 gates. Donald is currently losing borrowed money imo and slowly slipping the noose over his own head ... ... if he's not careful his creditors will get the club by default.
I don't have a clue tbh and I've heard no one say anything definite. Donald said he'd borrowed the money but didn't need it ... ... another gem in a long list of idiotic comments.
He may not have at the time, but he certainly will do now. Operating costs will be well in excess of income.
Thanks for confirming. Didn't think that was public knowledge, but wanted to check. I think yesterday's pause on fans returning was the final nail in the coffin. In my opinion from what Magnus has said about it being with the EFL, this in preparation for completion, and the announcement we are all waiting for will be the day after Donald defaults on the loan. This extension of no fans and therefore no income will close to ruin Donald, and the club will go for 9million which he's already had.
Tbh mate, everyone's bored with this virus. If I was guaranteed a ticket to watch any game, down the road from my house, I'd take it.
Listening to Exeter Chiefs rugby union Owner on the radio this morning he said its costing £1m per month just to keep afloat with barely no income. Suspect it will be costing SD at least that. Its absolutely not sustainable for him.
