The water was dreadful where we lived off Cottingham Road. It was really cloudy when it came out of the tap. We had to let it clear before we could drink it. It was that bad that I took to drinking Long Life in preference. That's Long Life the beer, not the milk.

The irony is chalk is a very soft type of minerology - porous & water can dissolve it's constituent elements far easier than say granite or other geological formations. That's why it's harder water. - more dissolved ****.

That's more likely to be with usage or pipework in the building, as the water in the pipes comes from the reservoirs around and gets blended.

    Tea's tea innit?

    Water's water.

    Some people really overthink things.

Anyway, milk, 2 sugars so, you know, what difference does it make?

I'm too tired, I'm so sick and tired and I'm feeling very sick and ill today.

But healthier, as hard water is associated with heart disease.

It's fun going for a shower in a soft water area. You've got to remember to use much less shampoo or you end up looking like a lumpy snowman. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Aaargh, that brings back awful memories. I got passed a cup of that, and ended up sitting down on the box of mini-chocolate bars. I spent the rest of the night searching for the hero inside myself.
