I will ****ing slap you in public if you EVER make such stupid, unintelligible substitutions like that ever again.

Lovenkrands on for Ba at 71 minutes
Guthrie on for Cabaye at 89 minutes
Marveaux on for Obertan at 90+2 minutes (wtf is even the point)

Pardew could have so easily thrown away our win there by making such daft swaps. He replaced arguably two of our best players with two of our poorer players who have barely had any game time to get used to the team and look what happened.

Too lucky today man. Far too lucky.

Dude, relax, 3 points in the bag. We did what we did last week, went ahead by 2 and went to sleep, cause we don't have a winning mentality. 2 goals ahead and our teams thinks we're on vacation. eventually we're going to get caught out and even suckerpunch, that's when they will learn their lesson. Until then it's nervy times.

Can't disagree with any of that Chappaz. I'll also add that the laziness and slow tempo from 70 mins onwards let them back in the game when a third goal would have killed it good and proper. Sigh.

Can we have a slapping list?

I would love to have Obertan and Simpson in that asap! They just stood and watched the cross for their first goal!

The priority thing you want to do in these dying minutes is retain possession so they can't attack. To do that, you need some players on the pitch with technique and class to keep the ball moving in the short passes we've become accustomed to.

Guthrie and Lovenkrands are NOT two players you want to bring on if you want your team to start retaining more possession. In fact, considering who they replaced, it's basically a decision you make if you want your team to have less possession, and it worked like a charm.

The 3 points is great, but it doesn't hide the fact that daft decisions like that will eventually cost us points if they continue.

Imo he is trying to keep the morale high in the team by giving everyone a chance to play.

Totally agree. Why the f*ck didn't he bring on a midfielder for Ba to make sure of the win. Relieve the pressure. We ended up being totally overrun in midfield and then he brings off Cabaye?!!

He tried his absolute best to throw away a totally dominated game. Wolves fans were leaving early!!! Their second goal should have stood. Having a minor heart attack last 5 mins!

Will take the win though! 3rd place!

Champions League..?!! You're having a laff!!

    :D

Agree. But still think you should calm down, relax and go outside to take some fresh air. <ok>

I'm definitely taking the win, but imo if we had lost that win it would have been entirely our own doing thanks to Pardew.

Agree also.. and why sub Obertan when there's only like 2 mins left of the game! <doh>

But you can't critise Pardew for what he's done this season :)

Precisely; I was just hoping that we'd play possession and time waste in those last minutes - Wolves had the forward momentum going and looked likely to score, exactly the time-wasting and possession play is needed. Felt my heart skip a beat every time we foolishly gave away the ball in aimless attacking plays.

Lovenkrands was terrible - absolutely no attacking threat, and looked slow as **** for someone who'd been resting on a bench for most of the match. Guthrie was absent; I was hoping for a Ben Arfa/Marv sub for one of our attacking players and to leave Cabaye on; he's the covered the most distance in the Prem behind Aaron Ramsey (as of last week) and has the stamina to play the full 90.

His subs were poor today. We should have just kept total control in the 2nd half.

Nevertheless another 3 points, 3rd in league, unbeaten this season, both Guti and Ba scoring, our greatest start to the season in 17 years.

    HAPPY DAYS!

This. He seemed to bring them on just to give them playing time rather than any tactical reasoning.
