You're the team that's broken the rules, though. Twice, in fact. First for the penalty, then failing to adhere to the rules of the offence.
You're supposed to get penalised. It's in the name.

A penalty being retaken because the keeper came off his line? Yes. It's also part of the new VAR rules.
I don't think it's a penalty and I'm not convinced that De Gea actually left his line entirely, but I've seen it given before.
They've decided to enforce it more rigorously this season, though. Has anyone else saved one yet? I've not kept track.

I am talking about the kicker being changed for the re-take.
We have all seen re-takes before for many legitimate reasons, keeper off the line, encroachment, kicker stopping his run up. How many times have you seen the kicker changed?
I am not even sure if this situation is covered/mentioned by the actual rules.

City tried to do it against Wolves last season, when Sterling ****ed up twice and they got the rebound on the second one.
I think Palace did it before too, but I'm struggling to find the evidence of it happening.
    Milijovevic and Ajew, maybe?

It was a definite first for me and like i have said, not even sure if it's covered/mentioned in the rules.

Keep up Diego - obviously not because the ball hit Sissoko on the shoulder not on the hand and the laws have been specifically amended to ensure that goals are not ruled out or penalties awarded when the ball hits the top of the arm with the so called 'T Shirt' rule - so you have missed the point .........again :emoticon-0102-bigsm

I can't argue with your efficiency but you simply won't score half your chances all season. So creating 4 chances per game is not sustainable. Neither is letting the opponents have ten to fifteen. They didnt score because of your resilience, it was simply their poor finishing. If one team scores more than the expected number of chances created and the other less, then the technical term for that is luck.

It wasn’t a red card, but we were winning 2-1 anyway and Chelsea didn’t have a shot on target for the whole second half. Look at the entire game rather than isolated incidents. I’m not going to say it was inconsequential, as playing with 10 men is undeniably a hindrance, but to look at that as the overriding factor for winning the game is silly and detracts away from Lampard’s inability to break us down for the previous 70 odd minutes aside from their goal. As well as the obvious issue of us being the better team on the day.

Footage from the TV broadcasters clearly showed Martinez had the ball within the area so I don’t see what the issue is with that? There were some doctored images circulating on social media that wrongly showed Martinez with the ball well outside the box.

If you want to go down this road of isolating incidents, you can practically look at most events leading up to goals / match results and fans will feel aggrieved either way.

Luck was not the primary reason for winning that game.

Entirely agree on that one. Arsenal were the better team that day.

The absolute shambles of the penalty and the take/retake, with
Man Utd being the recipient of it, was near optimum comedy value.

lol, tbh i think it was more penalty than not a penalty. The retake was an absolute farce though although more than worth it cause it happened against united of all clubs <laugh>

Plenty of your fans were on our Twitter saying they wanted him...at least until he rejected you, then you started acting like you usually do when players reject you - as is being helpfully demonstrated all over Twitter in response to Bale and Reguilon picking Spurs over your t-shirt company

I've seen incels who are more secure than you lot

IMHO you can only better a combined Man Utd "pundit" +
supporter meltdown when a meh penalty decision goes
against them, when the team is the Poool.

Kovacic got sent off with about 20 minutes left and with Chelsea having three subs left to change the game.
It killed any chance that they may have had of winning the match and who the better team had been up to that point is irrelevant.
Getting a massive leg up from the ref is either luck or something far more sinister.

There's no rule against it. It's considered another penalty completely.
If your keeper gets a second yellow for coming off his line then you're allowed to replace him.

Oh, come on, PNP. Don't be ridiculous. If you want to argue 'luck' or poor officiating meant we won the cup, then that's your prerogative. But to try and suggest there was some ulterior motive behind the ref's decisions is just conspiracy theory, tin-foil hat nonsense.

Azpilicueta should have been sent off for the foul on Aubameyang as there was clearly no genuine attempt to win the ball and he was the last man. He didn't. Does that mean the ref had an agenda that was pro-Chelsea?

You are beyond this type of stuff.
