    Here’s some advice, if you want a reasoned debate on the impact of immigration on housing stock in the U.K. then framing all immigrants as ‘ethnically and culturally alien’ isn’t conducive to starting said debate.

    You can **** off now.

    Didn't really pan out like that as what I did was go to South Wales for work/college/work and spend nearly the first decade living in shared house/bedsits/rented flats, like most people do as they grow up etc.

    Then I bought my first house, did exceptionally well out of it (pure luck), cleared debt, bought another, had one kid, moved into bigger one, had a couple more kids, and here I stay.

    Can't deny, where I live would be upwards of an extra £200k for, say, a Manchester equivalent in an equivalent area, but it's hardly like I've moved into a nice rural village and forced the locals out. I live in a nice part of a city.

    A city where there is absolute **** loads of affordable housing, to both locals and incomers, in a variety of suburbs, from utter ****eholes to affluent areas, depending on your budget.

    FWIW, I've an idea of where about Aberdude lives roughly and it's the same; a mixture of dog **** holes and nice areas; there are places to find that you can buy if you have a job, I would surmise.

    No expert though, obvs.

    Ergo and to sum up, i'm absolutely **** all to do with causing a price rise in Wales meaning 'locals' can't afford to buy a house (once you've been to Uni somewhere, stayed, and lived there for 20+ years you are a local, surely), but at the same time I don't agree or disagree with either of the two protagonists in this argument.

    I'm on the fence chaps.

    <ok>

    I agree with what you say, especially about needing more affordable homes and social housing especially.

    You need to learn to understand what someone is saying, rather than just reading into something what you want to read.

    Prices in Wales are cheap compared to some places in England. Hence if the English move to Wales, they buy and that can drive the prices up. Nature of the beast.

    Do I think there should be social housing in Wales, yes I do. Do I think there should be more affordable housing, yes I do. Do I think deprived areas of Wales should receive more assistance, yes I do.

    I'm English (British), I can't help you I'm afraid, other than not vote Tory, I have my reasons for doing so, that don't fit with your needs, but it was my vote, my thoughts I was considering, not yours. Does that make me selfish, maybe, do I consider myself an 'English Tory,' no, but many would agree with your view to the contrary.

    Feel sorry for the millions who have got no help from the government.

    Today Boris said he still considers them to have been helped because they benefited from paying lower VAT and cheaper restaurant bills.

    FFS as if anyone unable to work was going out to restaurants and making big purchases, and that even if they did it made up for the loss of salary.
