So Liverpool, United, City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs have all been in the final because of the "luck of the draw" ?

Which stat site told you that <laugh>

Well last year Liverpool were screwed by the FA who wanted us to play on two continents inside 24 hours, so Villa took our place in the final.

2019 we went out to finalists Chelsea while Man City got Oxford United.

2018 we went out to Leicester while finalists Arsenal played Doncaster Rovers.

2017 we went out to finalists Southampton (who had Van Dijk)

2016 we drew no one and cruised to the final

2015 we went out to finalists Chelsea

#summary it's all just luck, the big teams get there based on their draws

Oct 2019 Chelsea make 6 changes in lineup. Lampard after being knocked out 'I hate losing but you have to make compromises.'

Oct 2017 Wenger makes 11 changes for League Cup game.

Sept 2017 PL squads made 137 changes to their teams for third round of Carabao Cup.

That's how all players start out mate.

You missed the point. The LC is the time players we've never heard of get brought out ie the big clubs not playing the strongest side which is what the discussion's been centred on.

you realise your arguing with Diego on this? Tell him the sky is blue and he’ll disagree with you.

It’s clear to everyone that the big clubs generally rest and rotate their teams in the early stages of league and fa cup and it’s only when get to quarters / semis that they generally play stronger teams.

Because the top 6 have bigger better squads it’s ok real surprise that they get further. how many times have we seen mid table or relegation zone prem clubs rest players because they know prem survival is more important.

If anyone has the time and wants to go check out the line up of city Liverpool United chelsea arsenal spurs for the first 2 or 3 rounds of cup games I’d put very good money on it being a rotated line up.

Now that i can live with. They put out teams strong enough (in their opinion) to do the job ahead of them
The bullshit about sacking it off is exactly that as is shown by the regular finalists.

I think everyone knew what was meant by sacking it off in this instance. The fact that most people's comments were in line with the sentiment suggests they did.

    Very true.

For others, this is the actual quote...

"A lot of people ask me this question, I have never heard someone ask Pep Guardiola about that but his contract ends next year. I've got four years left which feels like an eternity in football. A lot can happen during this time. I would assume that in four years I will think about whether to renew or not. If I don't renew, I'll go on holiday. When I leave Liverpool, I won't take a new job the next day. That's for sure. I will take a one-year break after Liverpool."

It's well known Klopp said he would leave at the end of his contract. Now he's said he will think whether to renew or not. The headline makes sense. The Mirror ran with the headline ' Klopp U-Turn on contract ' <laugh>
