Oi!! I'm no armchair fan (pre-lockdown, that is), & I've got a second team - the mighty Partick Thistle!!! They're good for keeping your feet on the ground:

    * Leeds have gone up this season :) , the Jags have gone down (again). :( Ying & Yang or whatever you call it.
    * Leeds spend squillions, the Jags pay wages from a Gofundme! (Sadly true).
    * Leeds have a marvellous stadium, the Jags have a dump where they've replaced the terracing at one end with grass (which I think they smoke).
    * Leeds have pay per view, the Jags have pay & play (Us pensioners probably better than the present incumbents).
    * Leeds have a world class manager, the Jags ..... oh Jesus, is that the time? Must fly .....

Just paid a tenner to watch the match tomorrow.

Doubt we'll put out a full side and to be honest couldn't care less whether we win or go out. That's unusual for me as usually like to do well in the cups as I believe it's good for moral.

Perhaps I'm a jaded PL fan already :emoticon-0102-bigsm

But we could qualify for the Uefa Europa Conference League (the Europa League poorer second cousin thrice removed ;) )

How do you value a player? asking for a friend

Market value is £27m for Rodrigo De Paul but his club want £37m, maybe its because a Russian club have offered the full asking price but hardly any top players want to go to Novichock City.

Harry Wilson last season was valued at £10m yet Liverpool want £20m

Emiliano Buendia market value £13m yet Norwich want £25m

love that in these days of pandemic prices are rocketing when UK clubs are involved

The selling club can ask whatever ridiculous price they want but the true value is whatever the buying club is willing to pay, otherwise they get nothing and end up with an unhappy player and a depreciating asset whose wages they still have to pay.

At least White got a big pay rise, another reason why aspiring young players should put their faith in Bielsa.

Looking to find a book on footballers language courses. Anyone else worried about the tweets they all seem to send to each other. Usually something like “love it brother” or “you know it bro” or “thats you brother :emoticon-0152-heart

i like Buendia, but i'd rather have de paul - looks a complete player - has the ball playing ability and can put himself about. Buendia is a pure playmaker. I think it's that they want 2 players and what we pay for one, impacts on cash available for the other.

Poveda starts against Hull so he needs to show Bielsa that he cannot be overlooked now. Reckon Alioski will be on the other wing with Douglas behind him. Bielsa knows the more important game is against Fulham and to see how Koch deals with Mitrovic

Is De Paul becoming the new Ben White saga, bored with it now. No point in discussing someone that might never be a Leeds player.

I’ve no idea what position he plays in or if he’s even any good but if we’re not signing a player with the name Jizz Hornkamp so Emma can interview him and Koch, we are missing a trick <cheers>

With some of my foreign Millwall mates I look out occasionally for their teams from the country they are from, which is Strasbourg in France, Feyenoord in Holland, Fortuna Dusseldorf in Germany and Valerenga in Norway and years ago I used to go to watch Fisher Athletic for non league football but if I see they have won I will smile but not be too disappointed when they lose.

The Jags losing is not a new phenomenon. :(

I think my dad only took me to have someone to mourn with. :(

    Every game. :(

Even if we scraped a win. :(

Basically, it's been a lifelong boot camp that stood me in good stead for the last 16 years.

Seems like you've got a good few holiday destinations available to you there, btw. Ever visited any of your chums for a match weekend?

I visited the Fortuna lot in 2003 but there wasn't a game on that weekend, a few of my mates have got over to there and Feyenoord quite a few times but they are single and can, if I did go I would be single too!!<wah><wah>
