watched the replay many times now...ok, the tackle was a little rash but he got the ball and there was no real 'follow through' from the trailing leg, he was unlucky but much harder to tell that from initial view in real time.

From memory, they both went in for the ball but Dobson was a bit further away.

Due to that he had to lunge a bit and go with more aggression.

Won the ball I think but the other guy is always going to make a meal of it. The lunge / aggression will be in the ref's mind as well.

    Wasn't surprised at the red.

The theatrics were a joke though. How anyone in "that much pain" has the energy to flop themselves about like that i'll never understand.

in cases such as these, the ref should take the 'hurt' players reactions into account as well...here, we had a bloke throwing himself around on the ground as if his legs had been shattered beyond repair, only for him to leap to his feet when flanagan called him out for his reaction, only when cards start being handed out for this ****e will we see a difference.

Having broken my leg twice, and torn groin and thigh muscles - I know from experience that it's physically impossible to roll about like that if you're seriously injured. You lie or sit still until you get some help!

Absolutely Can't work out why this hasn't been done yet. It's an easy thing to do. Unless it has but the refs don't have the bottle!

Rubbish referee as usual. Oxford players takes out our player and feigns injury typical and he does not get booked
