Yeah Carroll will get sent off eventually, but that not really the point I'm making.. The targeting and fouling of max was allowed to happen for 50 plus minutes.. It was glaringly obvious disgusting tactic the ref was clueless to identify...

Got zero protection. One of the very early ones was a clear booking. Most of them were really because they were all trips and kicks to stop us breaking. It took any flow out the game too. Ref did jack.

Yep I was furious with the ref

There was a game last season the ref ignored it until the 90th minute.. Back end of last season?

Tbh our players need to be all going nuts like angry geese around the ref every time from the very 1st one . Thats how you ****ing deal with it... Fact... Our lads are way to nice

Building up a decent little team.

I remember a couple of years back it was said Ashley wanted to buy one or two big players per year instead of the old way of buying a load of cheap players & it’s starting to look like it’s half way starting to pay off. The squad looks the best it has in a long time. British core too.

I agree with him.

When's the last time we had an actual striker for example?

Demba Ba? Loic Remy?

When's the last time we had a few decent midfielders, a few decent wingers and a right and left back that can actually do a job? I honestly can't even remember.

We're not world beaters by any singular stretch of the imagination, but the squad is healthier than it's been for at least 4 years.

Rafa had mostly a good defense that could transition into a counter attack, that was quite literally it. Yesterday West Ham were poor but, we made them look worse. We kept the ball well, we passed pretty nice, we progressed forward every single time we had the ball. We were good.

I think even one or two on here have been overly pessimistic about it.

And, when I said Carroll did his job well yesterday, I was right.

He held up the ball better than most in the entire league can do. He literally cannot be beaten in the air and he's ****ing strong as an ox.

So close, but you inexplicably put the word “Gayle” in there. All that bloke does is reduce us to level.

What we’re missing is a couple of decent young talents like Matty. Certainly up front we need a young player with potential.

No one is suggesting that, but what is being suggested is people are happy with the side and the squad right now.

We played well last night and it was good too see. Especially considering the doom and gloom one of our posters kept banging on about.
