I feel a song coming on........................ we're Queens Park Rangers, we're top of the leagueeeeeeeeeeeee
Very solid performance- can’t think of any player who didn’t contribute. So many positives - Dykes opening his account, the clean sheet and the win not to mention the belief it gives the team this season. Beyond happy.
Happy days. Good passing. Good defending. A missed chance that might have made it 3 nil. 2 goals. A win Top of the league. Happy days!
CLEAN SHEET! TOP OF THE LEAGUE! THIS IS IT!! GOING UP!!! DOUBTERS GET OFF THE TRAIN!! WE’RE WILD EYED BIG BOTTOMED ANARCHISTS ON THE FREEDOM ROAD TO NOWHERE!!!!!!!
Just had a few minutes running about, shouting. Calm down, calm down! Anything at all that wasn't very good? Absolutely, NO! All of the new boys (and Amos) were quality. If BOS stays and we get in a couple of loans, we could be on for a very, very good season. Beer o'clock!
Well, all of sudden everything is rosie in the garden. Great result today. We ALL know what this league is like and that's we love it.
After last season´s thrashing, having lost our key player Eze and considering last weeks defeat againg Plymouth I guess nobody thought we might beat a Nottingham side that many people believe to be a promotion contender. Today most of the time I was really pleased the way we were handling this meaningful first game into the season and even though both teams played pretty even football I always had the impression that the result would go our way. To me player of the match was clearly Chair who showed his talant and rounded up a very good performance with the 2nd goal. My favorite player BOS needs to link himself with Dykes who also showed that he might be just the man we do need upfront. Even Lumley had a promising start into the season and Kakay just proved how important he is for our defence. Now let´s get a good result next Friday at Coventry showing the same dedication like today.

The 24-year-old was felled by Tobias Figueiredo after getting into the box, and stepped up to thrash the spot-kick past Brice Samba into the top corner. Ilias Chair followed up to swipe home a late second for the home side after Dykes had his initial shot clawed away by Samba. It might have been a greater tally, as Rob Dickie's bundle home was ruled out for a foul early on, but in truth Rangers lived a little dangerously on occasion. Relive Saturday's EFL action Lewis Grabban missed a hatful of chances throughout the game, in particular glancing wide in the first half and then firing wide when found by the lively Sammy Ameobi. Ryan Yates also hit the bar as Forest doggedly chased an equaliser, but the late second ensured the Rs hung on to tie up the points and record a first home win over Forest in four attempts. Queensland-born Dykes, a junior rugby league star in Australia who switched to football thanks to the guidance of his Scottish father, cost Rangers a six-figure fee and has already repaid some of that sum with his opening day heroics. Since signing for the west London club, he has made his Scotland debut, scored his first international goal and now has a Championship goal to his name. It was a satisfying win for boss Mark Warburton, who had an unhappy nine-month spell in charge at Forest before taking charge of the Hoops. Goals proved an Achilles heel for Forest last season as the second-lowest scorers in the top half of the table, and despite adding creativity in Luke Freeman and goals in Lyle Taylor, it was a familiar story for head coach Sabri Lamouchi. Grabban and Joe Lolley were the only players to reach double figures last term, but both disappointed on their opening appearance of the campaign. Freeman, who played 112 games for Rangers before moving to Sheffield United, was unable to provide the ammunition on a low-key debut, while Taylor came off the bench but again had limited impact.
