This is the team I would go with, 100%.

I like a lot about it and if Grigg could get an early season goal that would be smashing.

I want the lad to do well, rather than us write him off.

I clicked the wrong checkbox, honest. Home win expected, and I'd like to see some of the youngsters get some game time and perform well.

I would start with that line up.
But agree I like the look of Diamond hope PP can find a role for him.
Hes a young lad and will be a bit hit and miss but his pace and direct play will scare the life out of defenders in this league.

2-1 win for me. Think we'll look sharp then concede our usual goal but get it over the line.
Think we have the players but its up to PP now to mix it up a bit
If he sticks to his same old formula teams will soon suss it out.

Can’t really drop Wyke after the last game best he’s ever played for us.

We can mate. This guy can easily go 5/6 games without looking like scoring. I'm being a tad harsh and as a fan hope to being proved wrong but I would rather start with a more mobile front two.

I'm all over the 3-5-2 formation rather than 3-4-3. I always felt we had too many players out wide using 3-4-3. Leave that to the wing backs and have more bodies central or in the box.

Good thing with the XI is you could change between the 2 without needing any subs.

don't get me wrong I’m not a fan, but play the lads in form and from his last game he gets a start from me.

aye, there was the odd sign we were starting to rely on a long ball out to the wings, great when it works but need other options for sure as it is pretty easy to cut that type of supply off...still stick by my first thoughts though, we looked a much more cohesive unit and before lockdown the team was looking better, seem to be enjoying games now but we really need two or three good results for that extra confidence boost.

This season could be the one. From the last two games, both of which we played quite well, potentially we have Feeney, Leadbitter, Diamond and Wyke on the bench having done nothing wrong. We have a very strong squad for this division.

Ah, I presume my score prediction thread was pulled because this thread is live?

    Which I hadn't seen.

I expect the mighty SAFC to do what we normally do at home, concede first. I do however expect the mighty SAFC to win 4-1.

Disappointed with anything less than 9-1. Can't be moving backwards can we?!

I'd say the same, not a fan either but I'd at least start him and see how he does. If he's getting nothing against the defence sub him off and see if Grigg is up for it.

Ah it’s shot that we can’t be there but I’m still ****ing buzzing for it.

Don’t let us down lads. Sticking with what I said 4 - zip!

I’m still following my ‘pre Sunderland’ match day ritual like.

Been to Quay Ingredient for a brekkie, jet washed car, blast a bit Elton.

Usually Soccer AM then away over won’t pretend to be sad that the ‘away over’ has changed to cracking a can open like.

I think we are all gonna be proper emotional the day we finally step back into the stadium, I know I will.

Had a good think about this and my team today would be:

    Burge
    Willis Wright Arby
    Onien Hume
    Scowen Power
    Obrien Maguire
    Graham
