Oh dear. Got all excited about this on Monday evening, but it turned out to be one of those cases of rumours feeding on themselves and running out of control. 36 hours later nothing has actually happened. Some still seem absolutely convinced this Sandgaard / Duchatelet deal is 100% genuine. Must admit, I'm beginning to wonder. If this thing turns out not to be true, I'll never trust this kind of viral gibbering again. I might just have to ignore all rumours and takeover threads from now on, and just concentrate on other matters.
@lardiman, I’ve been reading the takeover thread on ITTV (I have no desire to sign up!) and you must have realised by now that Reams is just as bad as the people he supposedly despises. Being called out for daring to question comments by people supposedly ITK, along with his continued comments advocating violence towards ESI people, regardless on how unsavoury they are, just about sums him up IMO.
All the whilst the apologists sit back and not challenge it. Then the likes of SeriouslyRidiculous start squealing when he gets pulled up for his bullshitting of his made up figures. Did you know that EVERY top 6 Championship squad member was being paid 40k a week last season?
Stuff is going on. We don't know about it, but a few others do and they say it's 100% good and certain. Some fans are sceptical. That's natural enough. How many false dawns have we had in the last few years. On Monday evening there was such a fever of rumours and hints and claims, that many of us thought we were minutes away from having our wildest dream confirmed; Sandgaard buys the Club direct from Duchatelet, lock, stock & barrel (for real this time). The Club and the Valley are reunited under TS Duchatelet is gone - got his money, and has no ties of any kind with CAFC ever again ESI are cut out of the deal. No compo at all, apart from a few quid to Elliott maybe. We even get to send the Range Rovers back. Now all of these things may still happen. But it's only natural to come down a bit, after suddenly hearing on Monday evening that it was virtually all done already and an announcement was very close. Especially after Monday started badly, with news about Elliott's appeal being granted. The emotional rollercoaster is too steep for my stomach. I'm staying out of the whole circus now, until the official announcement is made. There'll be league games to talk about soon and other things. Always plenty of gossip & match day drama in the lower leagues. The take-over will happen when it happens. Then we'll see how many of my bullet-pointed dreams come true...
Best way to do it lardy , I believe it’s happening and obviously I’d like it sooner rather than later ,but too many people thinking they’re ITK when they know Jack **** officially
^^^^ this. We really have no control over what’s going on, so my view which will be criticised by some, is not waste too much time worrying.
its no coincidence that this forum is very quiet and has no ITKs. No audience. I’m 100% an IDK person. Does that put me at the top of the dumb league?
i think there's a fatigue set in on this forum. the topic of owners, or whatever they're upto is becoming tiring. it'll pick up when we can talk about football. i still only read what's going on, on here and on twitter. would be nice when this is all done and dusted if we can wipe words like Roland, ESI, katrien from our history.
Far too many ITK merchants, I'm ignoring all including Sandgaard himself until it actually happens. I can't see Sandgaard buying the ground any time soon though, no non-supporting owner would pay £50m for a league 1 club's assets when rent can be secured annually for just a six-figure sum.
The reason why Thomas Sandgaard's take-over won't be announced today A daily series, hopefully not as long-running as The Archers on Radio 4... #1 11th September - The EFL have not declared their approval yet
