    Their legal team obviously feels they have a case...

    Doubt they'll give any explanation if its going to court.

    I’m confused. PL have said they haven’t rejected it.. then club says they have.

    ashley has deep pockets so I presume the club statement has been signed off by Freshfields.

    I sense the PL were calling Ashley’s bluff but will now **** their pants here. I actually can see the deal getting passed eventually now.

    this explains all the silence.

    Chaos did say a big club statement was coming too.
