Should Wilson be given the number 9 shirt?

Just needs the same number on both sides, keep him balanced...so number 88 should do the trick!! Good symmetry on the numbers, obviously the heavier right hand side of the 9 was having an affect on his gait and the way he struck the ball. Don't know why we did't think of it earlier!

I do think that we'll see better from him now as he's probably going to be allowd to play more from wide areas. He just didn't know what to do with himself in the middle

 

Yes we've basically got 3 of Fraser max miggy and Joelinton fighting for roles behind Wilson..... Another striker will be loaned to fight for the striker position.. Or be rotated in some cases

 

I’d leave it where it is. Gives Joelinton a vote of confidence and Wilson something to play for.

 

Another striker who can play a different role really would be good. I actually don't think Gayle is a tragedy in front of those players if we end up stuck with him for a few games a season. It's just that given he can tear up the Championship it would seem like a better idea to cash in on him.

 

Agreed entirely... Gayles turd... I think people forgot that because he bagged 4 late on when we were struggling... He does score, but he misses more than he scores and other than that he just runs around with his arse half way up his back shaking his head alot.. We need a good young loan like we've been linked with to back up Wilson...in happy with that end then.. Very happy

 

Gayle is decent and we always looked better with him in the side. I can see why Rafa liked him so much, he’s very unselfish. His PL record is actually not that bad when delve past the initial stats. His channel running and intelligence is much underrated. He’s just always injured though. Decent back up for Wilson but two problems I can see. One Gayle at his age is a very sellable striker. So you are writing off decent money because he’s right on the cusp of losing value. Secondly I could easily see us sat with Wilson, Gayle and Carroll in the physio room at the same time. You can’t have three injury prone players for one position really.

 

Rumour has it we offered £20m plus Joelinton for him. They said, no, just the £20m thanks.
