Tbf both teams very rusty .. still not liking the system played.. still think McCann't is a cnut .. still think the Allams are twats .. but the new lads did well tbf to them .. and Ingram looked steady in goal .. on to the next game .. improvement needed
Can't argue with 5 goals away at the biggest club outside the PL. Promotion is a mere formality, surely.
Nowt wrong with predicting a loss.... But when all the posts are anti player, anti manager (I understand anti owner)... I just wonder when the support starts.....
Nice and very important to get a win for the confidence factor, a lot of improvement needed especially going forward, Got to create more.still need a good c.f. Which would make a big difference. Thought they were the better side first half but not a lot between the teams in the second. Early days but going forward we will have to create a lot more chances to do well in this league. Great to win though
Blimey, we won a game! Better side in the second half, Docherty especially, Emmanuel looks like a player too although might be a bit light on pace, Honeyman was poor throughout. I thought we even looked quite good when we played the ball out of midfield on the ground rather than hoofing it wide and in the air. Promising start though, 6/10 for me.
Ahh missed the penaltys lol, though there was going to be a replay so turned it off! How out of touch am I ?
I am really pleased with the clean sheet and the penalties were excellent. However... Unsurprisingly, saw little evidence that Grant McCann has suddenly found the knack of coaching a group of players to pass the ball 10 yards to someone in the same colour shirt. Against a better team, and I'm sure even in League One there'll be several, we would have been well beaten I think. Oh, and I only saw the second half which I gather was an improvement! The big positive for me was Smallwood who looked like a genuine tackling CDM and a captain.
