As A Grade will tell you, Al Qaqaa Didn't run its race last time out and should be better this time around, that was at Goodwood so may not of handled the course that well. 10/1 in places but 365 and sky are now 8s
ZWAYYAN 25/1 Kempton 3:45 For a seven year old Zwayyan is pretty lightly raced with thirty outings to date. Six of those were victories over 7f-8f.His last win was in March last year off a mark of 97 in Class 2 handicap similar to this. His mark went to 102 and in his subsequent runs he has been too consistent for his own good. Only after his last run has his mark dropped below his last win mark. He returned this season with a 1.3/4L 4th to Montatham in a C2 hcap at Sandown, Dark Vision was second and Gallipoli was third. All three have won again since with the winner and second winning off increased marks, the form of the race looks rock solid. The fifth home was Via Serendipity who won a nice race since (runs today) and the seventh, Qaysar, won a Class 2 at Haydock. You will struggle to find a handicap anywhere that is producing the percentage of winners as that Sandown race. You can put a line through his latest run as Goodwood really didn’t seem his cup of tea but because of his poor run he has been dropped that handy 2lbs. All this fine and dandy but the note I made on his tracker way back when was “should be running on the AW” and tomorrow I get my wish. His AW form reads 114 and that is off marks of 95,97 & 99. Tomorrow he races off 96 and on a surface that I believe is right up his street. For all this you would expect him to be among the favourites seeing as he is the only runner in the race to win off tomorrows marks but universally he is quoted at 25/1.
First race at Ascot. Bake, I will see what happens from there. Good luck with yours fellas. Have a good weekend
I see grouseman runs tomorrow at wolves I think it was stick who ave it the write up last Saturday wondering have you considered it this week thanks
Morning all. Thanks to Attivo for his unfaltering dedication to posting the daily thread. Todays darts are aimed at Stratford, where i fancy Emma Lavelle to gave a good day and am backing her three runners at the course.. 3.00 - Boreham Bill 7/1 4.10 - Irish Prophecy 13/2 4.45 - Highly Prized 10/3 Princeton Royale 20/1 also in the 4.10 for Neil King and Bryony Frost, good e/w shout I think. Have a good day
Scoop 6/Lucky 63/Acca: 2:50 Haydock - Rajinsky 8/1 3:05 Ascot - Shandoz 5/1 3:25 Haydock - Hello Youmzain 7/2 3:40 Ascot - Spanish City 7/1 4:00 Haydock - Wonderwork 15/2 4:15 Ascot - Via Serendipity 4/1 At Kempton in Enables training session, i've had a small ew on Kirstenbosch at 50s. And finally a horse that could be a hugely overpriced in my opinion is Sky Lake in the 4:20 at Kempton. Drop in grade and back on the all weather today. Very capable jockey up 45/1 for 4 places. Might run like a dog and i've got it completely wrong but worth the risk at the price for the sake of a couple of quid.
hi , think the cat is out the bag with this one , grouseman is fav for his hcap debut , it’s a weak event , and if he has any ability should win .That said , there are caveats , pam sly horses are running ok , but not winning too often , ger aw record is mediocre , but the plus side , the step up in trip will suit , the tight track i’m not sure about , seemed at beverley , he was doing his best work at the end , uphill finish , longish sftaight , good luck if you play 3/1
Very boring but do feel Dream Of Dreams Wins today didn’t really beat much last time but did it very well. The form of his second in the diamond jubilee will be good enough to win this. I wouldn’t write off Golden Horde or art power but horses in form is always a much safer bet!!
I see Charlie Longsdon has 3 out at Stratford and all attracting support.. any thoughts, news on these Stick??
Nothing more than an exercise canter for Enable on the beach at Kempton with her having more than a stone in hand of all her rivals on official ratings. Before the dual Arc heroine’s cake walk, the Sirenia Stakes looks like a good opportunity for Gimcrack third MYSTERY SMILES. He looks to have the best form on offer in a race where there are question marks about his main rivals. Twaasol drops a furlong on his sand debut after being a no-show in an Ascot Listed race and Cloudbridge does the same after failing to settle in the Acomb at York when favourite. Lauded was third in the Richmond but finished behind Nomadic Empire over five at York last time. Mighty Gurkha may be the biggest danger having chased home Method in the Rose Bowl before running no sort of race at Deauville last time. It is quite easy to eliminate half the field in the Haydock Sprint Cup because they simply are not good enough, and that includes veterans Brando (not run a good race this year) and The Tin Man (Ascot specialist beaten by younger Tabdeed last time). The three year olds Lope Y Fernandez and Golden Horde have failed to beat their elders, both finishing behind Hello Youmzain in the Prix Maurice De Gheest and with no real grounds for reversing that form. Art Power may be the best chance for the Classic generation, never getting involved in the Nunthorpe after winning a Group 3 in Ireland. Stewards’ Cup winner Summerghand needs to step up from a narrow defeat in a Listed race last time. The main concern with DREAM OF DREAMS is his tendency to put in bad efforts on very soft ground – like this race last year and the subsequent Champions Sprint – but this is his chance for a Group 1 and he won very easily for Oisin Murphy at Newbury. Last year’s winner Hello Youmzain is the main threat. I am hoping that Jason Watson has a good day at Ascot as he has three live chances with Rose Hip (1:55), PRETTY IN GREY (2:30) and A Star Above (3:05). The latter was too keen in the Melrose (behind Kipps) and now drops back in trip having gone close to the hat-trick at Goodwood the time before. PRETTY IN GREY completed a hat-trick on the beach at Kempton and then won on turf at HQ (Indie Angel behind) and looks to have ever chance of continuing the improvement here. Rose Hip has the profile of a horse with more to give, just holding on over course and distance last time, and she won three small races last term but her tendency to pull puts me off.
