Sadly the local radio commentaries are not carried on the BBC streaming service due to broadcasting rights, they could only be broadcast on the local radio FM and DAB and Freeview frequencies. We could hope that a Sunderland fan were to connect their radio to Periscope and they could stream the commentary, but that would be copyright infringement and I am not condoning that ...

You know what, I dont know.
Basically I go to home games and the odd away game and anything else I listen to on the radio.
I'm old school and not into red buttons, tiger player or the rest.
I like to listen to Radio Humberside, never bothered with viking much.

Agreed the Viking coverage was appalling, silence is better than that ****e
Personally I like Burnsy, and let's face it the pie chatter and the colour of the boots was the most rewarding thing in the last games of our life in the championship. RIP

No no it wasn’t. I turn the radio on to listen to a commentary on the game about my team. Not what two talentless fat ****s want to waffle about. Both have zero interest in the game and that comes across clearly throughout.
fatty Burns does it for his ego.
    swan for the money.
    Get a new commentary team.

That just about puts the tin lid on it, what interest there was, will now simply wither away too nothing for me and I guess many of the other armchairs. Another backward step. There can't be many steps left!

For a family head to have been given refuge from oppression to turn against the City and it's inhabitants is unforgivable, regardless of the self interested good deeds his wealth may have bestowed on the community. Rather mind boggling ? Tax or "fame" driven the latter most likely.

The Airco arena coup was, in my book, morally indefensible. And was a tipping point for me.
This move, removing local radio coverage, without any real alternative this time for many who will have listened in to City for years, many of whom will have attended when they could, possibly for decades, or their loved ones did, is right up there too as a morally indefensible action. WTF goes through their (the Allams) minds? It beggars belief. They are literally step by step destroying the bond between the people and 'their' club. FFS somebody close to them help them see sense.

I for one welcome this long-overdue decision. It's the kind of progressive and forward-thinking move that will propel our club to the next level, both in terms of performance and in attracting new fans from both the East Riding and wider footballing world.

    Bravo, Messrs Allam & Allam

My elderly parents don't have a computer and now won't have radio commentary either. Thanks Ehab.

I really feel for them, and MANY others that will now be in the same boat.
The Allams showing themselves as being utter bastards yet again.
Hopefully the HCOSC, HCST, HDM, RH, YP, and anyone else be they groups or individuals of any influence are all over this and remonstrating as hard as they can.
How about anyone with a voice to any sponsors? Highlight what the Allams have done here and suggest they remonstrate or even remove their sponsorship?

It’s just downright disgraceful. I don’t think I could feel more disconnected from the club than I do at present.

I never liked her, Daddy said she was his special secret. Her wolf howling on a night, when my old Mum was at work, frightened me.

Are people seriously suggesting that the Viking commentaries were better the Humberside ? I got sick of hearing the commentator say the ball is passed from no.3 to no 7 !!! He didnt have a fkn clue ... agreed Yozzer's insights had more to them then Swannies but for the love of God the actual commentary was bloody shocking.

Replies to the club on their tweet this morning encouraging people to pay for the stream are...as expected!
