... I'd have to pronounce you dead. The band is canny enough but, just as your interest starts to wane, some local hillbilly jumps up on stage, totally drowns out the music and even hoys a cheeky grin at the camera. It's the horrified looks, on the faces of the guitar players, that cracks me up ... ... they can see what's coming and they know they're about to be upstaged by a mental case
What really makes me laugh is that the band is being filmed and the cameraman is thinking 'yeah got this one in the bag' ... ... then into his viewfinder comes a demented hillbilly blocking the band and drowning out the music
Nice one. This is my favourite though, amazing that a bunch of kids can perform such complicated steps while laughing their heads off.
Not a lot of people know this but that scene was filmed in Carlisle To be honest though we've had some unbelievable nights with hillbillies in Corsica and Sardinia. I'll hoy some clips on if I can find some. There's a wine harvest dance in our village on Saturday where they do the grape crushing with their feet and everyone gets mortal. I know it's a bit corny but we like all that mad shyte because it's just for the locals and not a touristy thing.
