    I hope we don’t piss him off <doh> a year is enough.

    Then reassess at the end of the season - hopefully he’ll want to stay for another season then.

    So the tv money keeps going down as Prem League agree to pay back £330m as the season never finished on time so this money is being paid back over 2 Seasons. Now the Prem League have cancelled the deal with Chinese tv which wipes out £630m per season. Well done PL how very Leeds

    Totally agree, give him exactly what he wants. He is very loyal, he’d have left us long before now if he wasn’t. If we did go straight back down I don’t think he’d want to stay and we’d probably have huge sections calling for his head.

    If he has a good season and feels he can take it a step further he’ll sign up for another year, contracts are all a waste of time when it comes to coaches and managers

    He’s also a decent and honourable man. At his age, and with his family back in Argentina, it’s obvious why he’ll take it one year at a time.

    Why push him to sign up for two years?
