Here's what Wikipedia have to say about 'roan':

Roan is a horse coat colour pattern characterized by an even mixture of coloured and white hairs on the body, while the head and "points"—lower legs, mane and tail—are mostly solid-coloured. Horses with roan coats have white hairs evenly intermingled throughout any other colour..

Quite impressive from Telecaster, should open up a lot more options for him over 12-14f, by a Derby winner out of an Oaks runner up, 10f on fast ground probably sharp enough for him now. If it came up heavy in the Arc hed be worth running for some decent prizemoney.

Good performance from Telecaster today. Yet again one of the UK raiders just goes out and makes all, looking very straightforward tactics that succeed.

I would say that is Telecaster's best performance to date and it begs the question as to why he hasn't been running at the trip before now? His Derby run clealry had little to do with the trip and the Eclipse run looked a bad idea. Surely 12F is the way forward. It wasn't the greatest contest today but he's passed with flying colours and is back on track after a blip last time. Ziyad was behind Soft Light this year, after beating him in last year's renewal but it looked as if he weakened on the softer ground this time. Telecaster was different gravy to both though and looked all stamina today, more like a Leger horse actually on today's showing.

Earlier, Telemaque just seemed to get going all too late, he was finishing quite well but the way he was running at the end suggested he needs a bit further. He was 6th but only beaten a length and a quarter and was 9/2 after being 7/1 earlier. I feel there is a race in him and he may pop up at decent odds when it all falls right for him. Only a short head behind the favourite today in a race where the second fav scrambled home in a very tight finish from a dead-heating pair in second. I can't remember French racing being this mediocre and I am surprised it isn't being plundered on a wholesale basis by visiting horses.

What gets me is all these heartbreaking adverts, where sometimes they are just asking for £3 a month and then some arsehole comes on urging you to invest in Gold Bullion.

I'd love to help you out kids but look at all the lovely shiny coins I could be displaying as a "F**k you" to my visitors. Bullion By Post? I would advocate Bullying By Post for those greedy bastards. They open the letter and a punch in the face comes out.

I could just imagine these people pleading poverty as a reason why they cannot help a needy charity and then the postie arrives with a half hundred-weigh of gold sovereigns and Bald Eagle coins from the USA.

His Derby run was strange, after his Dante win beating Too Darn Hot I was convinced he was a 120 horse, didnt turn out to be the case but considering the Derby finish featured a bunch of 116-118 horses, no reason why he shouldnt have been involved in it, just ran no race. Seems to happen quite often in the Derby, Pyledriver this year another example, maybe if Telecaster had went for the Voltigeur instead of the Eclipse his season might have turned out differently. Hes well back on track now and will be interesting to see how does in a better race at 12f.

The French races are not top class these days. There are still a lot of good pedigrees and trainers in France so its not obvious why they are struggling to compete with uk/ire horses the last few years. Apart from Almanzor and Waldgeist, they have not produced much, even Persian King has turned out a disappointment. Study of Man and Sottsass also very disappointing after looking promising. La Cressonierre was probably the last good filly.

Telecaster was cut to 33/1 for the Arc from 66/1 after today's win.

Morrison has said they will consider the Arc but that he feels it will be tough giving weight to Enable and Love, even if he is good enough to take them on. He added that there are two Group 1 races in Germany over 12F and that Telecaster will be entered in those. I don't think you could be backing Telecaster for the Arc without the certainty that he will go there.
